very low level strafing

Post by aferguson » Sun Feb 11, 2007 5:41 pm

does anyone have a link to pics, gun camera footage, stories etc about allied strafing of german airfields towards the end of the war. Many of these attacks were carried out at very low level (20 feet above the ground or less). In fact, as many probably know, Gabreski crashed when he dipped his nose during a strafing run on a heinkel, which resulted in his propeller striking the ground.

Anyway, if anyone has any links to share i'd appreciate it.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...
