Uh, December 6? Why can't they just wait one day to get it out on the actual day of the attack (the seventh)?

So you can be home watching it on the 7th instead of in the checkout line at Worst Buy.

DAUNTLESS:
I've got PEARL HARBOR on Blu-ray. The sappy love story aside and the Hollywoodized aspects, the movie does a stunning job VISUALLY of the actual attack that is far superior to TORA! TORA! TORA!.
The ARIZONA blowing in PEARL HARBOR up is fantastic---TORA's version of the ARIZONA is pretty tame by comparison.

Yeah, they lay it on thick with the sappyness, but Kate Beckinsale sure is pleasing to the eyes. Though I just have the regular extended version, there's lot more aircraft than you'd expect to see. Including Eagle Squadron Spitfires, and Doolitle B-25's.
Though PH used P-40N's, it's not like TTT didn't use P-40E's. At least they tried to make them look like Tomahawks with the nose guns, and of course converted AT-6's into Jap planes in both films.
More of a nostalgia thing for me. TTT and The Battle of Britain were the first really good aviation war films in color I saw as a kid.
Of course the real reason to finally get a Blue Ray is the complete Star Wars saga coming out. I've delayed long enough gettin' one, plus my regular DVD player finally broke.
