Question of scale

Post by Sgt. Stryker » Tue Apr 12, 2005 2:33 pm

I am wondering at what scale is it pointless to include figures with vehicle displays.
To me, anything smaller than 1:72 is figure "unfriendly".
Even at 1:72, a soldier is only 1", which is tiny, and only complements aircraft or tanks.
I am probally never going to open the 5 man crew packets that come with the Dragon Wittman Tiger.
However, at 1:32 figures make more sense as "stand alones", and at 1:18, the XD figures definitely add the "human" element to any combat display or diorama.
1:6 would be the ultimate in figure realism, but is too large for most collectors including myself.

Agreed! And I love figures (and live in an apartment) so I collect 1/18!!
But you don't know how 1/32 haunts me...calling me....there's so much armor over here...think of how much more you can display...just try it, you'll like it.... :? :( :x
