Greetings:

My laptop decided to give me the fritz and die and I use it constantly for work to take it back and forth. So I need a new computer. I also have wanted to thin my collection of airplanes a little bit as I am getting overcrowded with all the new 32X releases coming out. So I have decided to pitch this lot of airplanes for sale. I figured I would try here first and if no luck try ebay.

I posted pictures of each plane and any minor issues. Keep in mind these are very delicate pieces and will need to be shipped carefully. I am offering the following airplanes. All models are made by Authentic Models Company and feature wood construction with fabric overstretch and metal details.

WILL SELL SEPERATELY, SEE PRICES BELOW

Fokker DR 1 Triplane $65 shipped

Model has a wingspan of about 15 inches and a length of about 13 inches. Model is in good condition except that when sitting on a shelf, it sits a tad crooked. Nothing major and model is great. Note: Pilot does not come with it.

Fokker D-VII $40 shipped

Fictional color scheme. This model has a wingspan of about 15 inches and a length of about 13 inches. Model had a couple of spokes on the one wheel come loose, but they have been repaired with super glue.

Fokker D-VII #2 $40 shipped

http://img172.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... 106ww0.jpg

Same size as first one. This one is painted in red and blue and in U.S. colors. It is a fantasy scheme like all the others. Looks good though. Tires have cracked slightly but it causes no problems.

Curtiss Jenny $50 shipped

http://img254.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... 107sb5.jpg

Model has a wingspan of 18 inches and length of 12 inches. Very nice model airplane. One rigging wire has come loose and the one tire has cracked slightly. The rigging is an easy fix and the tire has never come off so I believe it will be ok. Nice blue and white scheme in U.S. colors.

Sopwith Camel $40 shipped

http://img254.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... 108lh3.jpg

Model has a wingspan of 14 inches and a length of 10 inches. Model is a fictional scheme. Only problem with model is the top wing was glued slightly crooked. This was a factory defect. Could be repaired or left as is, not noticeable when plane is parked on shelf. Good looking model

Will give discount to someone who buys more than one. Open to offers. Prices not set totally in stone, just ballpark. I hope to get enough to pay for half of a new laptop for my work and school. I'm open to all offers for the lot, and please factor in that shipping and packing will need to be careful when making your offer. I'm not shipping these outside the US (possibly to Canada). I can take paypal (preferred) and postal money orders. PM if you are interested in these planes. Thank you.

Greetings:

Thank you all very much for your interest in these aircraft. I had many generous offers for them and I thank everyone for them. At this time, I have decided not to sell them and I want to be upfront with everyone as to exactly why.

When I bought these aircraft new, they came in boxes that had foam inserts. I assumed that the foam inserts had been kept with the boxes the planes came in. After going through my boxes, the foam inserts are gone. They were probably used during another sale or thrown out, one of the two.

I was going to pack these planes using a method that has worked with selling a lot of my other airplanes, however, looking over these models, they are so delicate I am afraid just wrapping them in protective material might break them. I am more concerned about that actually than the actual shipping of the items.

I do not want anyone to get broken planes, this is not what I am here for. I cannot insure without the foam inserts that these will not get damaged in some way. While I think I could pack them so they would not be damaged, I just will not take that chance for anyone on this forum. That is not fair to all of you who expressed interest. No one here wants broken airplanes and I don't want to sell broken airplanes. I feel it is only fair to pull these items from the selling block at this time. This to me is the honorable and right thing to do. So as of this post the sale is closed.

Thank you very much for all the interest anyway.
