Small Scale Military Headquarters

Hello all!

Between trying to get my stuff back (not to mention help others get theirs) from deltastrykeforce, I have a little time left for the models.

Last night I accidentally drowned my RC car in a pothole in the dark. Yes, I am an idiot. And of course they are out of stock everywhere near here.

I am looking for anyone in Columbia, SC who can pick up a remote control car for me from the Columbiana Toys R Us. I will reimburse for car, shipping, and gas/trouble.

Well, believe it or not, that's not the dumbest thing I've seen. When I was stationed in the UK, I was at RAF Feltwell one day when it was absolutely socked in with fog, I mean bad! I'm walking to my car and I hear an RC airplane! I just mentioned to my wife that the plane wasn't going to last too long when sure enough, the pitch of the engine rose quickly and then SMASH!!!!!!!! I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants. We walked over to the wreck and man, was it destroyed!! He dove the plane into the roof gutter of a small building, shearing off a wing and the plane continued into the concrete sidewalk at full speed. I wanted to tell the guy that he was a dumb a$$, but the look on his face was enough for me. I thought to myself,as bad as it was, that he deserved what he got. I mean, common sense. Now about your car...............

That's a very good idea, but the Columbia store told me they don't do transfers. I think it depends on the store and the manager.

In other news, the car works. It's a miracle. I disassembled it immediately after the accident, dried it, and left a fan blowing on the parts for about 14 hours. I was sure it was a futile attempt, but it works now!

I still plan to get another one, in preparation for the next catastrophe, which might be permanent.

Hey - crashing toy R/C planes, cars, or even model rockets is part of the fun. I mean, I was once annoyed 10 or so years ago when a model rocket I built from scratch was destroyed in a crash - but then it was so cool to see the thing fly parallel to the ground at about 6' altitude and then hitting the ground in flames! And all that on a soccer field at my high school while class was in session! Still haven't figured out exactly what went wrong with my design...

Then there was my cousin's R/C car that busted its axel after flying off a ramp and tumbling end-over-end down a steep hill...

Don't mean to say I destroy my toys, but crashes can be fun!
