How much did the German tanks (Panther, Panzer, & Tiger) originally go for? I want to buy one from a seller and I'm not sure I,m getting a good deal. He wants 45.00 in used for each.
condition.
Many thanks,
Tkjaer21.

Which version are you purchasing? The older versions generally go for more simply because they are harder to find.

i wouldnt pay that much even for an S1 if you were buying all three for the same guy, I'd pay like 25 each.

The original non-rc Panzer IV sold for $40 at Walmart. The others I'm not sure of.
The lowest I've paid for a Panther on Ebay was $39 shipped, and the cheapest diecast Tiger that I won was $26 shipped. Both were out of the box, but complete.
I'd say $45 is an average price. Certainly reasonable for a complete unboogered Panzer IV, Panther, or diecast Tiger. I wouldn't pay that much for a plastic hulled Tiger, however.

Well Catman, you said you could get almost anything - why don't you get him all 3 S1 tanks for $75?
I think $45 for S1 Panther or Panzer in loose complete condition is rather fair. Especially if they have the driver(s). Panzer IV in particular - I see it go for about $80 used on ebay. Hard to find one mint though as they all have some little flaw or another (barrel, breach, rails, etc..).

I have sold numerous XD Tanks on ebay for more than $45.00. I believe that $45.00 is a fair price and is probably the average price for these items. Don’t let him rip you on shipping though

The Panther's tend to go for more than the Tigers. With patience you could probably snag a boxed Tiger for $35-ish....the first series dark grey ones in box go for more. Boxed Panthers go usually $45 up to as high as $70....the ambush scheme Panthers usually get the higher amounts.
The SI Panzer IV's are going for over $100, for some reason. Odd when you consider you can get the very similar r/c version for under $40, with a bit of patience...the S1 PIV is nicer to have but not worth the money difference IMO (in fact i got a loose r/c one for $20 and another loose one for $18 ).

If the German Tanks have become so valuable, why was there no bids for this Ebay auction for a 1:18 Panther, Tiger, ME 109e S1, and a 1/6 Kettenrad lot?

I know I have 3 Tiger S1, 1 Winter, 1 DieCast and 3 S1 Panthers. And for the Panzer IV - 1 Original, and 5 R/C models.
well

It was listed poorly - no Ultimate Soldier, no 1:18 scale, no XD even.
They also look beat up and have no drivers..

The original panther sold for $39.99 and the original tiger sold for $49.99 at TRU.

They have new in box Panthers, Tigers for $49.99.
So I wouldn't pay $45 for used and no box, or original figures
The Panzer 4 will be hard to find I think. Fair price I mean.

As was probably mentioned before, I think the higher prices on ebay for some tanks (Panthers especially) have to do with the paintschemes. The first two XD Panthers were TRU & 21c fan club exclusive releases and had the most interesting paintschemes - ambush and normandy. The latest Panther release was the winter version, which is the most dull-looking of the three tanks IMHO, is also the most common as it went to the small retailers. Its also kind of limited as far as being used for diorama purposes... I would love for 21c to re-release the Panther at Wal Mart & the small retailers in a scheme other than the winter one. Figure or no figure wouldn't bother me given the prevalence of carded German tanker figures.

For the record the Ambush scheme went to small retailers. I remember them being at goodstuff for $39 for ages..should have cleaned up then..I guess there were also a few stocks I should have bought so there's always a coulda shoulda..
