Anyone parting out a broken JSI Tomcat

Post by rschaap » Wed Jul 29, 2015 10:40 am

I have the repainted 1/18 JSI F-14 fuselage from "Skyjerks." The plane was sent out whole for a repaint and returned minus the cockpit portion of the fuselage. Several attempts were made to reclaim the cockpit, however as many of you know they closed up shop and stopped dealing with customers (although they took your money after the closed without refunds). Anyone who has the whole cockpit portion of the fuselage, I am looking for one.

You mean to tell me that you sent your entire F-14 to these guys for a re-paint and they sent it back WITHOUT the cockpit portion ? WTF

Like others from this forum I sent my JSI Tomcat (a.k.a. Spotcat) to Skyworks for a repaint. Fortunately this was the only thing I sent them. It came back painted minus the cockpit portion of the fuselage. No explanation why, no return emails, nothing. Then I heard about the A-10 prototype they embezzled and all the people who paid and did not get anything in return. I am one of many who fell victim to this so called company, yet I can say I got part of my investment back, unlike others. I have been trying for a few years to locate anyone with the cockpit. No luck yet, but there is always hope.

This is what I am looking for (This one is not mine).

Back when they were in business they played real nice. I was also interested in a 1/18 Styker and a 1/18 P51 B/C conversion. I had a long conversation with the owner and he assured me that everything would work out. It all sounded good and I sent my Tomcat. Shortly there after no return emails, not answered phone calls. I got the Tomcat back minus the forward fuselage. I sent a letter and it returned unanswered. The rest you know. I was pissed and was working on calling the authorities when the whole thing blew up and everyone was talking about how they were victim's of Skyjerks. I have a a couple whole Tomcats and this one. It bothers me everytime I see it. But a lot of people suffered bigger loses, especially the loss of the beautiful A-10 prototype. The whole story about Skyjerks is on the forum.

I know this will not be of much help to you, but I do know that he went to work for Chrysler Corp in Detroit in their design department.
I do not have a whole front section, but do have a replacement Canopy and main landing gear if needed.

Thanks for the information I was aware that Jack went to work for Chrysler. I believe Legal action against him was tried. Based on the loss to me, the cost is prohibative. I do feel lucky compared to others. I will pm you about the parts.
