Yeah Im moving down in scale. They are to hard to collect anymore and I thought it would be easier to sell them all at once. I would have offered them on here but I havent been on 6 months. I know the price seems high but I put make an offer. I have sold alot of toys over the last few years and have found out its easier to ask high and negotiate then start low and lose money. Ive lowered the price down. It has quite a few watchers. Ive sold off other toy collections of mine like dungeons and dragons, heroscape, and my 1:32 collection and realized I screwed myself on worth. I have a daughter who is in and out of a specialist lately becuase of a left kidney problem and selling them would help with high doctor bills. Anyways they are there if you guys are interested. Like I said I will negotiate prices.

I'm not putting you down, but alot of people watch an item just to see what the final price is. Watching doesn't always mean these people are going to bid at the last minute.

Ain't that the truth. Nothing bums me out more than seeing a bunch of watchers and then nobody bids.

I know guys Im not saying they will sell, but I thought I would see. I love 1:18 , but I think Im in love with the past when I bought alot for $40. Ive been trying to get back into it but its just to expensive for me. I thought maybe if I just put them altogether it would be almost a ready made start of a collection. Like it says make an offer. I guess I didnt expect to get a high amount like I listed, but wanted to be safe than sorry. Im hopeful (lots of prayers) that I will get close to what Im hoping.

And I hate that to, you find your item showing up in ebays most watched items, and then it ends with no bids. So frustrating.

You do have a nice collection of planes to sell. Personally I get the idea of asking more than you will take for the items. I do that when selling a car but… I try to get it close to the price I really want. Like if I’m selling a car that I want 4 grand for I’ll put an asking price of $4,900 on it. That leaves some room for negotiation but doesn’t seem incredibly unreasonable. The problem with your sale is you’re a bit further off the mark. Potential buyers won’t get that you’re not expecting anything near that price. They will look at it and say, “That guys noodles or dreaming”. I suggest you bring your BIN down closer to the price you would actually take for the lot. Like if you want $600 put a BIN of $750. Since these planes are all loose they aren’t going to pull in the big dollars. I think you may be scarring off potential buyers.

That’s just my 2 cents. Every seller is entitled to ask what ever they want for their items.

You never know what people will pay, so you can start them out high then adjust the price down the next week, or adjust your selling strategy.

Personally though, If I was selling them, I would at least put that "Bunnie" back in it's box with the twisty ties, and sell it separately right after the 20th. They are already high, and if I were a betting man people will go nuts for it.
Take some nice pics of it out of the box, then pack it and take another of it in it's box. In the box is important for a lot of buyers even though you mention you have the boxes, they want to see them too.

P-51's are in the $150 range now, but that could change real quick. I'm keeping my eye on any difference the movie makes out of curiosity. I'm hoping for a boost to the XD craze.

I would not be surprised if you get a third to half of what you want with just one plane. It's worth a try if you don't sell them this way no?

I once had 47 watchers and only 3 bids by 2 bidders...

Your right Dauntless, I thought about breaking them up in pairs. Like the bunnie with the seeman. the stuka and tropical me 109, zero and warhawk, the night fighter and bbi bf 109 and the avenger by itself.

The last Bunnie on ebay was new in box and went for $375 before the seller pulled it off for some reason. I was going to break them up, but I know there is alot of collectors out there and was hoping someone would give them a home together. I didnt really wanna mess with mailing a bunch of different packages. Im not saying the $1500 wasnt high, but like I said I put make an offer. And I have lowered the prices. I know they have some issues but nothing anyone cant fix easily enough. I have a 13 month old and school all the time and I just dont have the energy or time to do anything with these or anything else in life you guys with kids know. I guess time will tell, if anything maybe I will just put them back in the boxes and hold onto them. They can only all go up in value right?

I feel your pain Cjg. Much of my other toy collections are almost gone now. A lot I miss, a lot I'm glad it's out of my hair.

One of these days I may have to unload my XD too.

cjg476, if you do them in pairs id put the P-51 with the 262 with this new movie about the redtails coming out you might get more bang for your buck that way....

Maybe Derek, but I may just end up keeping them. I lowered it to $800, has alot more viewers now but nothing more. I may just keep them after all. I dont want to screw myself out of another collection if its not worth it to me and the buyer.

IM starting to see the same thing, lots of watchers and views and no offers. Maybe I will just keep them if they dont sell.

Well took your guys advice I broke them up individually. So there on evil bay single now.
