Small Scale Military Headquarters

I have an Authentic Models Fokker Triplane for sale. This one has been in storage for awhile and I can use the closet space. This is the desktop version with the 18" wingspan. The product number is AP203. There are plenty of dealers that sell it so a photo of what it looks like shouldn't be too hard to find if you want to see it. The model features fabric over frame construction, rubber tires, spoke wheels, antique style finish, etc.

The model has two issues. The first is there is a minor touchup on the lower wing. The second issue is that the landing gear attaches with 8 screws to the plane. The screws originally included were very cheap and when I originally installed them the heads got stripped. I was able to remove the screws and the landing gear to put it into storage but you will need 8 new small screws to reattach the landing gear. I will include the original screws even though they are ruined so you know about what size you will need to get. This should be an easy fix for all our awesome 1/18 customizers out here. Plane will ship in original box and original packing.

I'm asking $100 shipped for the plane.

There are tons of pictures of this plane online. Just google search Authentic models Fokker Triplane AP203 and you will see what the plane looks like. They also make a bigger version of this plane that looks exactly the same as the 18" version. So if you find a picture of the large size, the color and construction is exactly the same as the 18" version which is the one I am selling. Plane is fine you will just need some new small screws to hook on the landing gear, 8 to be exact.

If someone is genuinely and truly interested I would gladly post a picture for them. However, in the recent weeks selling my 1/18 stuff I have had way too many people back out of deals, lead me on for weeks with deals, lowball me on stuff ($15 for a 1/18 Corsair...WTF) and then never respond after expressing interest that I am not going to waste my time taking photos that won't be viewed or people aren't serious on the items. I have other things to do rather than cater to people who back out or never respond or go totally cheap on me.

So pictures are by request now and only if people are seriously interested. I've grown quite tired of fighting with folks to sell some stuff just to break even on the board.

A triplane in 1/18? Im very interested. But Im confused, 1/18 triplane would be a wingspan of 15.3" not 18" what scale is it in? is it balsa wood and fabric? or injected plastic. Its a kit right? all the pics online show one paint job like mathews pic, is it pre-painted? Pilot??

is it still available?? even if it is over sized I am still interested, need more info

To answer some of your questions.

1.) Wingspan is 18". It is a bit oversized but close to 1/18.

2.) It is fully assembled and ready to go. Not a kit. The only thing required is to hook the landing gear onto the plane. This is what you will need new screws for.

3.) It is already painted in the paint job you see. It is wood and fabric construction but fully assembled.

4.) There is no pilot but the cockpit will hold a 1/18 figure easy enough.

Absolutely agree, Corey.

To be offered $15 for a 1/18 Corsair is insulting, and I would be PO'ed myself.

I have dealt with Corey, and find him to be very reasonable, and helpful.

Not sure what can be done to stop this kind of behaviour? Sad to see forum members behaving like this.
