Anyone have a BBI Me-109 G2 (the desert scheme one) that they want to sell? I"m specifically looking for a BBI 109, not a 21c 109.
If so, lemme know.

Andrew,
I never heard back from you, so I figured you had changed your mind.
Not sure if there is a glitch in the system or not
I just re-checked my inbox/outbox/sentbox & the last thing in there is us going back & forth at the beginning of our conversation. Now that I look I don't see my reply where I sent you a price.
I apologize. I just figured when I shot you a price & didn't hear back that you weren't interested, so I didn't bother to follow up. I wonder if my reply never went through? That looks like what happened.
In the interim, VulgarVulture contacted me & asked if the plane was still available. Since I hadn't heard from you & thought you weren't interested, I told him it was.
If for some reason, he changes his mind, I will let you know immediately!
Sorry about this, I feel really bad. I wasn't trying to blow you off or get a higher price. In fact, I quoted VulgarVulture the same price.
Bob

Aferg,
Don't know if you're trying to find a real "deal" or not on this, but Michigan Toy Store appears to still have these in stock for $74.99:

I just recently got one from Aikens I believe but they appear to no longer have them. As these are getting rare - I think getting one for under $100 with shipping is still a pretty good deal. MichToyStore has coupons occasionally too if you get on their email list.
Best of luck!

Well, glad it worked out. For some useless commentary, this thread recently made me pull out my BBI Bf-109 from storage... I've found the paint scheme to be rather bland when compared to the 21c Bf-109Gs, nevertheless, the model itself really is fantastic. Its tough to compare it to the 21c Bf-109G6 aircraft as both have their positive points, but the BBI version is the superior tooling in terms of detail. The detailed engine and cockpit are the highlights.
The BBI plane is more brittle than its 21c counterpart in some respects, particularly the radio mast. The canopy also doesn't stay shut as nicely. It has the drop tank, but no cannon pods, even though there are holes on the wing where pods could be mounted.
My biggest beef with the model is the figure. BBI could have delivered far better for their first WWII German. It is sculpted quite nicely, but it has only 5 points of articulation (like a vintage Star Wars figure) in addition to the removable helmet and parachute. To top it all off, the figure is a midget like the 1st series XD pilots and drivers. The figure was likely shrunk so that it would go in the cockpit easily, however 21c has shown that larger to-scale figures will fit in the same sized space... It is possible to fit either a 21c ME-109 pilot or FW-190 pilot into the BBI Bf-109 without modification, however. Its just a preference of mine to have my pilots scale with my other figures

This is the only 109 I'm missing from my collection. I need to find one for a good price before they are out of control.
