Thanks, I was going to pull the trigger on that P-38 until I saw he wanted $38 for shipping.

yeah the shipping was high on that even for 3 day UPS. I don't know enough about the P38 to know if that is a good deal but he might give you a refund if the shipping is less i would PM him on that. like i said he is real nice if you want it might be worth trying.

Even with the high shipping, it is still a good deal, just more than I wanted to spend.

$75 to ship the P-38? That would kill the deal for me.

I got two airplanes from two listings from this seller last week and he only charged $15.00 each and two auctions with two 1/18 airplanes each and he only charged $20.00 shipping for each auction which was reasonable, but now I see his F-86s are $26.00 to ship UPS. With these all being open he should send them USPS and the cost would be much less. Maybe he is using huge boxes

yeah when i checked out the f-86 on eBay and few other online stores i couldn't find them cheaper $80 so they seemed like a great deal but i just don't have the room in my house. i bought 3 times and paid 25 for shipping each time. i got a mint f-18, black hawk excellent condition f-16 (missing the needle) and an apache (missing ammo feed to 30 mm). my items came 3-4 days and he wraps them in so much bubblewrap you could drop the box out a two story building without worry. from what i can tell he is almost giving the stuff away against what is common in the market now.
I posted these to help both parties i would rather see you guys here get them than somebody else and i would like to see him sell everything as fast as he can.

Hey Bro, I might have an extra needle (it might be from an F104) I'll check tomorrow morning cause I'm pretty sure I have heat exhaustion from doing the yard today and the garage is killer hot.

Hey Viper,
If popeye doesn't find one let me know. I made a mold to make them from a spare a couple months ago. I asked the better half to pick out the duplicate and she picked the original.

Hey NV, I checked and the needle is for the F104 not the 16. I tried it on the 16 and it looks totally wrong for it.

You know a lot of these sellers are probably taking it on the shipping. To me every time I ship something out I’m astonished as to how expensive it has gotten. An ultimate soldier airplane box shipped from Cincy to California will run me almost $30 in shipping. I have also found that USPS is getting to be more expensive that Fedex or UPS. It depends on how you ship. Remember that if you want to be able to prove delivery it must go priority or have tracking. $75 to ship a P-38 is price gouging for sure but $20-30 for a packaged plane could be realistic depending on the destination. Also there is packaging involved. Most of us here will dumpster dive and not charge for packaging to help our fellow board members but eBay sellers will pass this on to you.
