that's pretty cheap. But for the price of that nose you'll be able to buy this in a few months:

And it will come mostly assembled and painted. Mind you it's 1/16 not 1/18..

Hey Aferg, Im tempted on this one. I didnt see them listed but will it comes with propellers or they have to be bought seperate with motors?
Any idea on price?

no idea on the props....it might and it might not. If it does they may just be 2 bladed, so you'd need to buy some 3 bladed ones.
Price i'm guessing at around $300 for the basic model without retracts...but that's purely a guess.
It will be big.....noticably larger than 1/18. Just like a 1/16 tank looks a lot bigger than the same 1/18 tank. But i'm very tempted too.
Did you ever order the B-2?

Yeah...just a little.

A 200cm wingspan, that's what... 6 1/2 feet, more or less...??

Thanks for posting this Buckyroo, I ended up buying it. Now I just need to find time to build it!

Wow that was an excellent deal at $175. I got mine from Squadron on clearance for $200 last year. Neat kit, I really like it. These originally retailed for around $400..

Have you taken a whack at building it? The one build up I found online was not flattering.

I collect kits and don't plan to build this one. I intented to get 2 from Squadron at that price as wanted to build at least one but got the last one they had. It is definitely not a kit for the faint of heart.

Hadnt ordered it due to smaller than 1:18 size. But if 1:18 stays dry for too long, I will have to go ahead and pick it up. If we dont hear anything good from Toy Fair, then I'll order it soon!

hm...well there's pretty much zero chance of ever seeing a 1/18 B-2, even in r/c form...in fact i'd be suprised if there's ever one much larger than this one. But i guess what you're saying is that if you can get a 1/18 fix some other way, you'll hold off on the B-2.

Yep, I try to stick to 1:18 scale, but, will give in and get the B2 if there just isnt anything new on the horizon for 1:18 anytime soon.
I did give in a bit and get the 1:32 F-4 from BBI way back when since there isnt any 1:18 one yet

Am also considering an AV8 Harrier in another scale since I dont think that it will be around anytime soon in 1:18 and I fell in love with it again while playing CODMW2!

An outstanding model, I should have gotten two when I had the chance, I don't think there are any available outside of ebay anymore.....

there are a few 1/24 harrier models kits. I've been tempted to get the sea harrier more than once. Not sure if there's an av8b or not in 1/24 yet....i think 1/32 is the biggest.
I'm pretty confident we'll see a 1/18 harrier one day. It's really not that big and has quite a bit of appeal.

Darn, Was hoping you were going to post a link to a 1:18 R/C version of the Harrier

not yet, sorry. There has been one harrier....a sea harrier but it's pretty big. Nearly 4 feet long. And looks wise it's only so-so.
The problem with harriers is that because they're vtol in real life, they need to be in r/c as well and that's hard to do, pushing costs up and reducing sales. Also, the harrier isn't very big and r/c tends to be good for larger sized aircraft like f-15's, tomcats, phantoms etc for 1/18. Smaller aircraft tend to be overscale. There's lots of mirages, eurofighters, grippens etc but all are about 1/15.
