Antique Display Case for sale, perfect for tanks, XD, 32XW

Antique display case for sale, guessing early 20th century (pre-1930?), often called a "candystore" case for displaying sweets and treats in drugstores. Made of quartersawn oak. 6 feet long, 3.5 feet tall and 24 inches deep. Has two lights recessed into front edge for illumination, with power cord. Glass tops are beveled, 1/2 inch thick. Two sliding doors on the back. Has two shelves, top shelf is about 9" deep, middle shelf is about 13" deep. The supports for the shelves are cast iron. The bottom of the case is about 20" deep. This area is wide enough to display a 1/48 C-47 or similar model. In all, you could display about 30 1/48 single-engine models or maybe 18 1/32 fighters inside the case.

Case is in excellent condition. Was refinished about 15 years ago with shellac. Also includes a custom-made carriage (2x4s with large casters) that fits inside the base of the display case, so it is easy to roll away from the wall when needed. Casters just barely protrude from the bottom of the case so you can't really see them, especially on carpeted areas.

Due to so much glass and the size, pickup is only option...I cannot deliver or ship it. Located in Nashville. Asking $500 but will negotiate somewhat. Serious inquiries, please contact me with questions or for photos.
