Small Scale Military Headquarters

Does anybody have a spare tank barrel fromeither a panzer IV, panther or Tiger they dont want? Looking to make a pillbox but dont have any spare tanks. i can either buy it or trade for it. PM me. Thanks!

5ohsinker,you can cast a barrel out of resin from your local hobby shop(very easy) Just find an old cardboard box the correct length.mix rubber mold solution and pour it into the box (half way).Cut a slot in the box for the barrel to rest on..Bring mold solution half way up the barrel ( --OOOOOOOOO]]]]-- )like this.
Now let it dry.Next put some paper down on the mold around the barrel.This will help you seperate the mold later.Now fill the rest of the box with rubber mold solution and let it dry..Next separate mold by twisting it. You should have a pretty good impression of the barrel.Now
take out tank barrel and put the mold back together.Line up the barrel hole and put rubber bands around the mold.I drive tooth picks through the mold at this point to keep the mold from moving around.Next mix the resin and pour it down the barrel hole.This should give you a decent pillbox gun.Hope this helps .

Thanks for the tip, i printed it out for later but im too busy now for that. 2 jobs, 3 college classes, renovating 2 rooms and my mancave plus writing a book leave me very little time but i hope to start doing some indepth diroama making like casting etc., next year.

yes i do have it still if you send me money to cover postage you can have it if you want the rest of the tank and the busted kubble wagon(sp?)i will send that to you too,for cost of postage so either way let me know which one you want to do. kim
