Greetings

I found these stashed away and thought someone could use them for wargaming or just for something else. These are little diecast U.S. Navy ships. They aren't Micro Machines and I don't know where they came from. I have 5 modern carriers, 5 modern destroyers or frigates and 5 submarines. They are very nicely detailed. To give an idea of size they each measure about 4 inches long with the carrier being between 4 and 1/4 and 4 and 1/2 inches long.

You will get all 15 ships, 5 destroyers, 5 carriers, 5 submarines.

Asking $20 shipped for this lot or the best offer I get. No trades please!

I accept paypal, money orders or a check from people I have dealt with before.

Anyone interested please PM.

Thanks

i wonder what the heck they were used for, do they look hand painted like they would be for mini-gaming?

I think I might take a work break and if I can find where those came from for ya, Gotta be a game if they are not micro machines as you said.

I have some old star fleet battles minis I should sell,

Cabe:

Forgot to say I like your painting of your Mig-15, nicely done.

I actually believe they came out of books. I believe the books were different branches of the military. I remember a long time ago finding these books at Ollies that came with minature models. Ollies is a discount chain that gets stuff that is sometimes unsellable due to damage or closeouts, things like that. I remember buying a whole bunch for the models in them and sticking the models away. I think the books had a sub, destroyer/frigate, aircraft carrier and F-18 hornet in them. I've been giving the minatures to the kids. In fact I believe the Hornets on my cake the kids got for me were hornets I gave as rewards this year.

There was also a book that came with four mini World War II aircraft, that book I found a good copy of and stuck it away, I will have to dig it out. Ollies has had these books off and on over the past two years at varying prices.

But anyway if anyone wants the ships I'll gladly trade them for the parts I need for my planes!
