He left me a voice mail a few minutes ago. I called late last night to give him a piece of my mind, and he wanted to tell me he could call me just as easily.
Wow, I never would have known....

Over the weekend I called the number I reached Delta/Audie/Jerry/JW at (765-409-0810) several times. I always got the machine, and sometimes left a message.
Today Delta/Audie/Jerry/JW called me from 765-409-0810 and left 2 blank messages on my vm. I called him back at 765-409-0810 and left him another message, asking what he had done with our stuff.
He called me back and left another blank vm, then called back and left no message.
I called back, and had another conversation I'll try to relate here. I wasn't entirely prepared, especially since I was geared up for a verbal confrontation instead of what I got.
A man picked up the phone. Presumably this was the same guy trying to disguise his voice. He told me several things, which I'll lay out here in no particular order (I believe none of it. This is just for reference):
He claimed to be Jerry Napier's grandfather (called himself "Andy"). He said JN does not live there but comes and helps him in the yard. He said JN has a son around 10 who has recently been grounded, but this guy doesn't know why. He told me JN was there today helping him scrape ice, but that he is an engineer at "the University" near Cleveland. He told me he had not gotten my messages or any mysterious calls. He said he knew nothing of any packages or any of the items we have had stolen. He insisted JN would never do such a thing, and asked if JN's son could be at fault.
Issues with this story (by the way, did you guys notice JN is pretending to be a veteran??!!):
I have called this number several times, and left 3 or more messages. If this guy lives there and JN does not, how would this guy be ignorant of the calls and messages?
Why does this guy sound so much like the first vm "JN" left me after I called the Eaton, OH number?
If JN has a job, why is he at his grandfather's house during the weekdays (he was at this number during last week, too)?
He had called me right before I called back. Had he immediately run out the door?
Anyway, it isn't as if we need a reason to assume he's lying. The man did sound older, but he could have faked it. He was a good actor, though.
I suggest more of you call!

His IP has been banned, and I've been keeping an eye on new accounts watching for simular patterns in the e-mail.

You know, Cleveland is about 4 hours away (and that's flying low and avoiding the highway patrol) from Eaton, Oh or Richmond, In. Just thought I would reassure you, PC, that he is feeding you more bunk. Good Luck on your efforts with the police. Let me know if you need me.

Yesterday afternoon I called the number again. A new person answered the phone-a woman this time. Could have been the same one who answered last week, but she soulded older. I might be wrong.
Anyway, I asked who she was and she asked who I was. I told her, and told her I was calling about Jerry Napier. She told me she didn't know any such person, and hung up on me.
THIS IS THE SAME NUMBER WHERE I REACHED HIM BEFORE, FROM WHICH HE CALLED ME, AND AT WHICH I REACHED THE MAN CLAIMING TO BE HIS GRANDFATHER, ALSO YESTERDAY!!!!!
AND it is HIS VOICE on the answering machine!!!!
And just in case you are wondering if I have an errant dialing finger and might have reached the wrong person, my phone displays the numbers I dial, and most times I have called I have simply redialed the last number, or called back the number he called me from. No manual dialing to potentially screw up.
GRRRRR.....

For the amount of money at stake the only real options are local law enforcement in his AO, or a road trip.

Well, you aren’t going to get anywhere with this guy on the phone. His M.O. is to put you off till you either give up or forget about the whole thing. Rest assured that he has most likely been doing the same thing to others on different boards and has become quite proficient at it.
Anything that was lost to this guy is most likely gone forever. The only thing left to do is pursue it in a legal manner starting with contacting local law enforcement. This guy knows that after a few weeks of confusing the crap out of people most of you will give up and move on.
I wouldn’t bother calling this fool anymore. It is just going to upset you and won’t get the stuff back.
This guy will only understand you are serious when the Police pay him an unexpected visit for the Holidays.
Good luck to all of you who were involved with this Jack *** and Happy Holidays.

I'm sure you're right.
BTW, the number now yields a "not in service" message.

he may have blocked you phone number..
What a slime ball. I don't know how people like this can live with themselves. The sad truth is that he probably is proud of himself and think's he's clever..

I agree: it's only when the police come knocking that he will realize he's in deep recycled doggie lunch. So far, he thinks he can keep you guys at bay over the phone.

New e-mail from him 12-21-04. I like how he's AGAIN passing blame from himself to those of you being conned. What a jerk.
It is just as I had thought, after sending everyone
everything that they were supposed to have received,
they still will not acknowledge having recieved it.
One said that there isn't any way for me to prove that
I had sent anything, and even if I had something to
show that I had sent something, they said that there
isn't any way for me to prove that they had recieved
anything! Plus, they still haven't stopped the
harassing phone calls and e-mails, but then, it is
just what I had expected from them. When speaking to
one of those involved on the telephone, I was told
that even though I had sent the items, and that they
had in fact already received them, they still will
never acknowledge having gotten them so I will suffer
and feel the same as what they felt.

I bet anybody really said that.
Not that it needs to be reiterated, but please don't believe this guy for a second. If he really cared about making sure we acknowledged receipt of anything, he could do so with UPS, Delivery Confirmation, or about 6 other ways. He's full of it as usual, like we're all evil and he is good.
HOWEVER, it seems that phone number was correct after-all. I hope evryone plans to use it.

I'd like to state that I DO NOT believe him for a second. I trust and believe with full confidence the people here on the boards... and stand behind you all who are involved in this.

Agreed. I wish I was back in OH!!!
Of course none of us believe him. But it's interesting to see the interesting lies, etc.
I have found indications that he may have done something simialar on another board for Star Wars items. I am still waiting for a couple of emails to know with any degree of certainty.

I don't know if anybody mentioned this, but another one of his many Yahoo email addresses is
superjett_1@yahoo.com
Feel free to drop him a line.
(I'm pretty pissed at Yahoo btw.)
