That's a good question also. I have never seen a 88 Hanomag. Did the Germans actually use those things?

A Panzer IV (non-RC) this time...

http://cgi.ebay.com/CUSTOM-Ultimate-Sol ... dZViewItem

The price stands at $70 (less shipping) with about four days to go, and it will be interesting to see how high the bidding goes on this puppy. The guy claims that it is an historically accurate paintscheme (Viking SS Panzer I think) and he obviously has some talent with an airbrush, but I personally don't care for the "polka dot" effect that the paintjob seems to have when viewed from certain angles.

Hmmm.... I'll have to research that...but I'm thinking no. Considering that it took an 8 ton prime mover just to tow an 88, it seems unlikely that you could mount one directly to a Hanomag without overloading it or tipping it over, never mind firing the thing.

No the Hanomag could never have supported an 88...it was barely able to take the Pak 40......put a ton of stress on the chassis.

I'm guessing the 88 is from a tiger, using the barrel and breach with a new section added in the middle. I was going to make a pak 43 that way but haven't got around to it yet.

Here's a 1/18 scale German bus. The basic dimensions are close enough. It's 14.5" long, 4.5" wide, and 5.5" tall. The seller sent me the dimensions.

lsc.....lineol made two scales, back in the 1930's. One was 1/25 and the other was 100mm scale, which is about 1/18. All of their items are made from tin and usually have funtioning parts.

They generally go for a lot of money, several hundred dollars into the thousands. Hausser, Tippco, Elastolin made many of the same items. I think it was the same company under different names.

I have a couple of their smaller guns (pak 36 and IG18). I went after their sFH18 but it went for hundreds over my bid. They also made a leFH18 but it went for over $250 so i missed out there too. They made a nice Protze but it goes for about $800+. Lots of other stuff too but very expensive.
