XD on ebay

Post by digger » Sun Jul 29, 2007 5:43 am

The more I look at prices, the more I think this is the time to sell...years ago it used top be this item, then that. Now it seems there are at least 10 items that are going for WAY more than they did just a year or two ago.

I thought so too. Makes the tank look smaller than it probably is.

I've noticed BCA selling these for the last few week for big bucks (good for them). But do you think it is honest to say "out of stock" when it is clearly IN STOCK if they have enough to keep posting them? I have not decided where I shake out on this..

Same with the guys selling "rare" Blackhawks that are available at Target..

Yeah, that does seem a little unfair in some ways, but then again, it's their stock and technically they can do as the wish with it. I remember that Corey (Smalljoes.com) mentioned a somewhat similar approach with figure pricing based on demand, although his reasoning was more to keep from selling out of the most popular figures in a flash and end up getting stuck with tons of the rest.
Although I seem to recall Bad Cat used to have a different ebay ID, so they must have set up a new store specific one...

That feels good! I'm glad to know my BBI Zero is worth up to $250  If I recall, they sat around at BadCat for quite a while before running out...

BCA should sell all their stock online. They seem to sell better there. :D

For anyone who might be interested in a green Zero there's currently one up at ebay for what looks to be a pretty reasonable (comparatively speaking) opening bid, though it's not the same version as the $250 BCA one listed above, it is listed as "Rare" so it's conceivable that it could go for much more.

There's always a few, if not many, who will shall out the big bucks for an item perceived as "rare and collectible".

JS-III kit

Post by MG-42 » Fri Aug 24, 2007 9:04 pm

I've seen this kit somewhere on-line and it sold for big $$$ , I can't remember correctly ,.. but it is awesome though. 8)

.......... too much work for the price maybe + true to scale is questionable.

i think the original retail price when it came out some years ago was $300. Kamikaze bought one of those off ebay a while back....i wonder if he's built it yet?

It's a nice looking model but very complicated to build and the subject matter doesnt turn me on enough to justify the cost and effort.

For you guys up in Canada-

M48 and M60 Mutt w/ 2 Mutt Drivers:

10 Dragon/21C figs and original Hanomag:

Both are from the same seller in Canada. It probably would cost a mint for shipping for us US guys

depends what you call a mint but shipping to the US should be about $30 or so, depending on location. But that would include insurance and tracking.
