He's done a nice job with the painting and weathering and all, but the barrel looks a bit short and too fat or something, I believe it should have some taper to it, I don't know, my eyes are not as good as they used to be, so maybe it's just me..

That would explain the "too short" look....thanks.the barrel's not too short and fat; the problem is the barrel is molded in the recoil position, so it creates the appearance that the barrel is too short

Thanks, I've been watching it even though it didn't look quite right to me either. Looking at the photos now, it's plain from the breach end the problem.aferguson wrote:the barrel's not too short and fat; the problem is the barrel is molded in the recoil position, so it creates the appearance that the barrel is too short. It's molded in metal, in one piece with the breach and recoil mechanism so it's unfixable.

Interesting--would be good for someone with an extra Tiger or two to sacrifice, and who isn't afraid to do some cutting.
Kind of makes me wonder why we haven't seen anyone do more with "standardized parts" for customizing/upgrading specific vehicles.
I have a couple 1/8 Pocher-Rivarossi Ferraris, and the number of "standardized" upgrade pieces is amazing (if a person went all out, they could easily sink another few hundred bucks into a $500 model by adding leather interior, real aluminum rims, etc.).
Or maybe I am just not looking in the right places?

I found this on E-Bay tonight. I had no idea that this was ever made. And to think I had to make one my self. (I like mine better.)

Speaking of insanity. Yeah, they may be hard to find at the moment, but I doubt that will be the case for too long!

I already bought a couple of them in my area for around $10. The open coat is a nice accessory and the head can swivel up and down, but its not all that different from the figure in the "parade dress" uniform. The headsculpt is also a little funny. Certainly not worth $30 + shipping! I would have expected the DAK figures to be going for that and they are more origional in my opinion.
