Secret Santa SIGN UP NOW

Post by digger » Sun Dec 10, 2006 9:17 pm

OK, I figure we should do this to the best of our ability - seeing as how most workplace Secret Santa ops fail to deliver what you really want (ie toys), let's see if we can make this happen. Of course, this is entirely voluntary. If you are prepared to give you will obviously be on the list to receive. :P

I had been thinking about his but didn't know if it would be viable, considering the problems on the board with bad traders in the past. But since digger brought it up, if ther are enough members with good reps to make it happen, count me in.

Count me in :D Great idea, btw..

Only suggestion would be consider identifying the ground pounders from the air jockeys?

I'm sure those guys would prefer hanging a Messerschmidt from the ceiling vs a Pak 40.. ;)

I suppose they could hang some sandbags around it.... hmmm... 8)

I'd be interested in hearing some details, and would this apply to 1/18 and 1/32 related items only?

Count me in. We may also want to clarify era, is applicable--I know most of us are pretty much across the board, but there are a few that are dedicated to one era or another.

I am in. However, I think we need to set a limit right off the bat. Does like 10 to 20 bucks sound about right?

I like the 10-20 range.

How about 20.00 cause it would be 4 figures or 1 x32 plane/tank?

Great idea. I'd be surprised to see it happening, particularly from 21st, but great idea nontheless. I'm still waiting for some benefits from my 21st and bbi fan club memberships.. sigh...

Great question catman.. I'd say if we had to choose, new.. But I'm sure that different members would have different preferences.

Hate to add to the complexity any though..

If someone indicated new, then it would need to be something relatively easy to get.

Unless it was a well done custom done by some of the famous artist here.

Here is my another Idea; some online retailer supplies the gifts while 21st reimburse the retailer.

Ever one will be given a code and they enter the code. Once the code is entered they now can pick something out for the other guy. But you would have to register first so the retailer would have your address and whish list. one item Pre person.

The best part is if you want to remain private this will allow you to do so.

Or we could set something up for next year and pay into it our selves.

I'd be interested, but after the DISASTER I had at WM and then went to 4 other WM's today only find NOTHING...it'd be hard finding something that no one here has already found! It WAS a FLUKE that I found some new armor!! And it was only at ONE WM. Again, the other 5 WM's here are XD EMPTY!
I'd probably end up like Charlie Brown on Trick or Treat night anyways..."I got a rock." :(

Naah, Bob. Your heart is in the right place and we all know it. Definitely no rocks in your future. At least not without a catapult to lob 'em with.

And one thing that I don't know if anyone has thought of, but especially for us diorama builders (or in my case, aspiring, time allowing), XD or 1/32 or whatever scale goes beyond just armor or aircraft or figures.
