WoW! On Shop Goodwill.com

Post by Axis Nightmare » Wed Jul 08, 2015 3:21 pm

This Delaware outlet has now had I believe 4 of these exact P-47 "Eileen" and they are all going for big bucks. This one is 5 days out and over $100. Must be some really determined and competitive bidders who have been sniped on some of the others. I haven't seen what the final has been on these but I'm putting it on my watch list so I can see what it goes for.

Strange....

This site can go for weeks without a single good toy but now suddenly has about a dozen with both 1/32 and 1/18 lots from Nashville to California :? . Their descriptions are not the best. Here's an example:

Hi Corey,

Do you get the "Military Issue" catalog? Was curious about what you or others thought of what appears to be some nice looking 1/72 armor and vehicles that seem to be reasonably priced. Hard to tell the quality from the pictures or the brands offered but they have a few nice closeout deals.

Or are their prices high? Not sure what 1/72 goes for.

Good Luck Danny. Hope you get it. Don't be surprised if it languishes kinda low until the last day and then explodes. They do that sometimes on this site. And there are snipers just like eBay.

Danny, the 190 is gone! At least I don't see it anymore. Maybe they've pulled it? I've seen this before where things mysteriously disappear. A German Helmet did once. I think someone local goes to the store and offers them a high price so they pull it and sell it. Sucks, but it's supposed to be a fundraiser for a good cause. They must reserve the right to do it.

Here's even more under "Ultimate Soldier" instead of 21st Century.

So strange to see this much stuff at one time. This is more than the whole rest of 2015 combined.

Be careful, danny, those Corsairs -the last few that sold on ebay were in the $70s, even out-of-box. This one may also end in a race. FW190s are still kinda cheap starting upwards of $40 for the more common of the real ones. You can get the last couple they coughed up near the end a little cheaper, but the earlier paint schemes are better IMO.

I have this one. If this guy sells his I won't have one for long. I'll be able to get at least five good kits for that much $$ and I can think of a lot of awesome F8 schemes - although I do like this one and will replicate it in a kit.

I think I paid maybe $14 + tax.

Pretty soon I'll be able to sell my British version and buy one of those supposedly astounding Tamiya 1/32 Corsair kits where the engine is a kit unto itself AND all my paint for it as well.

Time to check how Zeros are selling...

I had one of these, which I also liked, but I sold it to help finance a couple of kits of German armor and I didn't need two F8s when I already had an A8 and a D9.

The last P-47 "Eileen" went for $101. And....yes there is yet another one on from the same outlet. They either have a bunch of these somehow or no one is following through with the purchases. I believe this is the fifth one.
