Hello All,
In the coming months, between now and the end of May, I will be trying to assemble a group of as many different 1/18 P-51 models as possible. The Tri-State Warbird Museum's annual fund raising Gala in June has the theme of celebrating the P-51. I hope to have a display of as many 1/18 models of P-51s in aces markings as possible on display. We plan to have a second Mustang on hand to fly with our own Cincinnati Miss that evening.
I have quite a few but would still like to aquire "Ridge Runner", BBI "Duck" (Donald Emerson), and possibly a BBI O.D. "Old Crow". Though I hate paying that much for one, I'll probably get at least one of the newer "Flight Wings" examples.
No need for mint in box. Prefer gently used so they don't have to be perfect. Complete but with minor issues that I can fix are O.K. No need for pilots either. I'm doing this on my own dime since it is my idea so it is not being financed by the Museum. Resources are limited.
So if anyone is tired of dusting their P-51s or just need space and is willing to part with one at a reasonable price, please keep me in mind. No hurry. I'll need to spread the funds out over a while anyway. Don't know the outcome of my income taxes yet

or

.
I currently have:
Old Crow--silver
Hurry Home Honey
Killer
Big Beautiful Doll
Petie 2nd
Thanks!!
Dennis

Dennis:
I have the Emerson "Donald Duck" plane. I am not interested in selling it as it is the only P-51 I have, but if worst came to worst and you can't find one to buy, I could considering loaning it to you and the museum for the gala event so it could be on display with the others. As long as it would come back to me as I sent it there wouldn't be a problem doing it for you.
If you need my assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
Regards,
Corey

Corey,
What an incredibly generous offer

Not only the idea of loaning the plane but taking the time to pack and ship it?

WoW!
As much as I appreciate it, I would not want to take on the resposibility of the shipping and handling of a plane twice. Just too much can go wrong. Razor17019 has made a similar offer for a different plane but he is local and there would be no shipping. The plane can be picked up and delivered personally.
Since joining this board nearly 5 years ago, I have enjoyed the people as much as the subject matter discussed. The above offers are outstanding examples of the individuals on this board.
It warms my heart to know there are such great people out there.
Thank you Corey and Mark
