Danny,

From what I've seen, the black 109 is not a real popular plane and possibly one of the least desirable of the 21st C planes and probably not highly valued but as long as there are no Merit/JSI redos of the P-47, they seem to hold their popularity and higher value. It's difficult to put a price tag on these planes. People may say they saw a P-47 online for over $150 but that doesn't mean they are selling for that or anyone is paying that. You can see plenty of planes on eBay with high BIN prices and also high starting bid auctions with no bid. Askin' and getin' is two different things. Just my opinion. I personally don't care if it's in the box or not as long as it is complete and in good condition. Good luck.

yeah I know the black 109 is not that popular heck I hated the paint scheme I would have kept it in box if it hadn't been for the flood and my dad wants to repaint it but I honestly don't trust his modeling skills much anymore last time he wanted to do that it didn't go well heck the nkk spitfire I had is damaged beyond repair imho after my hanging bbi killer p51 took a nose dive right onto the wing snapping the left gear and he has tried dozens of times to fix the gear but it has never succeeded so I was hoping to sell the 109 on eBay to make some money it has everything except the pilot who snapped in half right out of the box also the original screw but we are looking for a replacement screw the p47 has everything thanks for the tips axis nightmare BTW the display with the Avenger is amazing I would love to visit your museum I wish I lived near it the airplane museum near me which used to be owned by Kermit Weeks has seen better days anyway thanks for your input
