What is the deal with sending to other countries via Ebay?

I have had many offers on my auctions to send to both Europe and Asia for more than buy it now cost. Are they trustworthy? I am just wondering?

As long as they have some good feedback,it should be fine.
I am not a seller,but as far as I know,it is exactly the same as selling to US customers.
The only difference is higher shipping costs,and a quick Customs declaration form.
There are a few countries that some sellers refuse to ship to because of Postal problems.Italy,Mexico,North Korea.
Not quite sure why some sellers will only ship to the US.If you took international bids,you would probably get a better price.

Makes no sense to end the auction early just to pay more than the BIN price.. Why don't they just Buy it now? It doesn't cost them anything either way so I would be leary of someone asking me to end an auction early under those circumstances. my.02

If your instincts are telling you it does'nt feel right, I would'nt do it, this forum seems to police it self well, but when you go to ebay your on your own, I would think if you have the money in hand your fine, any true buyer will pay first, of course that can go the other way, thats why I believe this portion of the forum was created to help weed out the scammers, which of course could be me or anyone else.
From what I have seen the members on here are very true to their word.
Just my two cents worth.

i ship all over the world, all the time. It's a piece of cake. There are scammers in every country, including the US but it's rare to get scammed.

They may just be offering more than the buy it now to give you an incentive to sell and ship it to them, if you say you will only ship to the US.

It's a judgement call..

What is the problem?
The buyer pays you in US$,for the item,plus shipping.
All the seller needs to do is fill in a very short Customs form.

I fail to see how that is a pain in the arse?
The monetary thing is the same.The seller does not ship until payment has cleared.
Instead of Indiana,its going to India.
Write an address on the package,and send it.With tracking.

The buyer pays all the shipping charges.
Make a couple of standard international rates.Canada,and the EU will cost this.Rest of the world will be this rate.
It is the sellers choice as to what country they will ship to,but I do not see that international bidding and shipping as a problem.

I would accept to ship to you even if I am in belgium and you in the US.

I concur. It's nothing against the foreign buyers themselves, but in my experience it has just been more trouble than it's worth. The whole process is fraught with potential pitfalls, at least it has been for me, and I simply gave up on it after a few shall we say "less than satisfying" experiences.
