They are of Hans Ulrich Rudel and Adolf Galland. I love them both but I do ned to move them. The issue is shipping cost...I think, I mean they are flat somewhat. An international ship might be costly as they would need crating.
but for a quick description,
The are both oil and acrylic on broken wood, there is a highly detailed pencil drawing of a cutaway of both the Me-109 and stuka on both taking up the background.
The broken wood comes out in a multi leveled surface which created from shadows and depth. The reason I paint them this way is because I am into non traditional surfaces and layering, from the application of paint and images on the surface and the surface itself. They are both roughly 4x4 feet and over a flaf foot deep. they are not light, but can be carried by one person easily.
They had some companion pieces that included Saburo Sakai with Am63's and wildcats, A b-17 with escorts painting, and Urban Drew with Mustangs and a few others both British, US and German.
I am always up for commissions if you prefer a certain plane or pilot, even a relative. I just need to rest about 3 weeks first.
They are waaay marked down to $700 each ($1250 for both), so I guess that might make up for the shipping costs as I did sell the others for about 2k. I just need to get these bills off my back so i can lie still without panicking over some pink slip in my electric or DSL bills and avoid bothering my parental units for their help.
here are the others that are gone, but can be repainted or give you some idea of what I do if you want to get one done later on, I just hope to move these 2 i have to get the cash for now.
