Looking for 20mm cannon from a pioneerwagon

Post by General Blasto » Wed May 21, 2008 7:51 am

Thouhgt it'd be worth a try to post a note ;)
I need to locate a couple of the 20mm anti tank guns from off of a 21st C 1/18 Pioneerwagon. I'm making some flak cannon and am unable to find any of the Pioneerwagons. So if anyone has broken of cut up any, I'd like to buy or trade for the 20mm anti tank guns off of them. Thanks !!! General Blasto

General B:
FYI -

The gun mounted on the Pioneerwagon was not a 20mm gun and was not an AA weapon.

The gun was a sPzB41 2.8cm Anti tank gun. The bore was tapered from 28mm at the breech down to 20mm at the barrel end. A single shot breech loaded gun. Used in the 1930's but outdated by the start of WW2. Germans used tem against thin skinned armor and trucks. It was mounted on the "251" and "250" halftracks and two kinds of wheeled cariages, one with normal wheels and one with tiny wheels used by mountain troops.

It was not capable of AA use.

Thanks for the history on the AT gun TTT :)
The gun is the closest thing that's made in 1/18th to a 20mm and I'm making best with what there is ;) I've changed the gun to look like a 20mm flak gun because I'm not going to hold my breath and wait for someone to make it. I've changed the end of the barrel and the breach area. I'm also making 20 round magazines that are side fed into the new breach of the gun. I'm just looking for more of the AT guns to convert over to flak weapons like the truck mounted dual AA placement. I also want a single truck mount as well as a single one on wheels like the one used in the film "Saving Private Ryan". If you know were I can find some, please let me know. Thanks, Da General

I have one you can have.
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!
