Kevin,

I haven't received any response yet to my latest e-mail, hence this post.

As you know, back on October 28th, I bought from you two Ultimate Soldier XD 1/18th scale models (i.e. a Huey Hoghead and a Snake Cobra) for a total of USD 270.

On November 6th, I sent you an e-mail inquiring about the status of the shipment, and your reply was that you had yet to get a custom box for them and that you would ship them the next Saturday (November 10th, 2007).

Then, on November 16th, I sent you another e-mail asking the price of several additional items that you had up for sale on your BST thread. You said you hadn't shipped the previous items yet because my address was incorrect (even though I had PM-ed you my correct shipping address, which is also available through PayPal) and, therefore, the merchandise had been returned to you as undeliverable.

This, I thought, was rather strange. But how was I to know whether you were telling me the truth or not, if you hadn't provided me with a single tracking number, which I had been politely but repeatedly asking you to give me from day one? (For all I know, the merchandise might have never left your house.)

So in spite of all this, I agreed to buy several additional items from you and have them shipped together with the original items: 21 Century Toys' S-1 & S-2 US Marines sets and Gates' WWII Willys MB Jeep. The grand total for these additional items was USD 107, which I paid you through PayPal on November 20th.

Then, on December 3rd, I contacted you again through e-mail to find out about the current status of my combined shipment, as most overseas packages usually take less than two weeks to arrive at my local post office.

However, this time around your excuse was/is that you hadn't shipped those items because you couldn't find the S-1 & S-2 WWII US Marines, which I bought from you on November 20th. That's thirteen days ago.

I'm glad I asked, because you were apparently going to keep mum about it till God knows when. I have paid you USD 377 and have nothing to show for it. I've given you the benefit of the doubt but I'm growing more and more suspicious of your evasive replies.

And I have to admit that, yes, I'm more than a little pissed off with this situation. I hope there is some workaround to this issue, so that it can be solved once and for all.

Please let me know which other 1:18 scale Allied figures (from WWII and/or Vietnam) you have up for sale, instead of those US Marines that you had previously agreed to sell me (i.e. the 21c S-1 and S-2 figure sets) and which I had indeed bought from you for USD 65.

Note that I'm not interested in some hodgepodge of USMC/Market-Garden figures nor another WWII Jeep. Sorry, but these won't do the trick.

Please also let me know the USPS tracking number of the shipment as soon as you have one or, otherwise, I'll have to log a complaint with PayPal to settle this as a dispute as soon as possible.

Since I made two separate payments, that'll mean that two separate complaints will be logged in due time and manner with them stating that I didn't receive the merchandise I bought from you.

you posted:
"All figures 21st and including the BBI Paras 2.50 each + shipping. Need to go!"
please make correction to my order.
thank you!

Hey guys, dont be so quick to trash Raider, I bought from him and yeah, it took a while to get my stuff but it was cheaper than online and I did get what I ordered. I dont belive he's trying to screw you KOF, and belive me, I know the the wait is frustrating but try to be patient.

With all the positive feedback he's received, I thought I could buy from him without a problem, but failing to ship on schedule twice in a row seems a little too much. And then there's the story of the missing Marines, who seem to be AWOL.

I don't want to trash him either, but he's apparently sold the stuff to someone else already and now I'm stuck with no merchandise and no dough (and that's a hefty sum of money considering the shipping costs). Not a very good deal, IMO.

We'll wait and see, I guess.

I have purchased many times from Raider in the past and all transactions have gone through smoothly. I am currently in the process of completing one. I think he lives in a more remote location in California, so shipping, especially if its via parcel post may take a while depending on where you live in the country. Again, I've dealt many times with Raider and he is a good guy to deal with!!

Glad to hear that. I'll apologize to him publicly on this board and eat my words as soon as this is solved.

Apologize? You ordered from him on Oct. 28th...it's now DECEMBER 5th and you have NOTHING you ordered!
How remote a location in California?
If you're offering something for sale, YOU should make it a PRIORITY that the purchaser gets what they bought ASAP as soon as you receive the funds.
I've been burned here a couple of times, so I know how King O' Fools must feel right now-I STILL have those feelings of getting ripped!
I'm hoping KOF will get what he ordered, or at least his money back. Either way I'd feel MORE relieved than I would apologetic.

Oh, boy:

After receiving no reply from Raider (I asked him AGAIN to please provide me with the tracking number of the shipment, which according to him was already "en route"), I logged two separate disputes with PayPal today (one for the Huey Hoghead and the Snake Cobra and one for the Gates' Jeep and 21st Marines sets). And guess what? He has escalated the dispute about the helicopters, which I had bought on Oct. 28th, to a claim stating this:

"Customer was adding and deleting items which took time to process."

    WHAAAAT?!

Well, there yo go... It's all my freakin' fault.

This is absurd. I only added more items to that shipment because Raider hadn't shipped my merchandise by Nov. 16th. TWENTY DAYS after I had issued payment. That's almost three full weeks, for Pete's sake.

And what about that tracking number?

Oh, yeah, he has one, but for some odd reason beyond my understanding he won't disclose it to me: :?

"I have a customs number."

"I have a customs number to prove it."

Raider, if you're reading this...

Been scratchin' my head long and hard, and it would have saved us a lot of trouble if you had let me known the customs number, buddy.

King, I am sorry to hear this. I had never dealt with Kevin before purchasing an F-16 and F-18 from him. After a couple of weeks I pm'd him and he immediately came back, apologized about his oversight and promptly shipped.

I can't excuse the extremely long period of negotiation the two of you have had but I do want to say that he did come square with me very quickly and I am pleased with our transaction. I did get a great deal from him.

All that being said I am sure this will turn out for the best. And King, I am glad that you brought this out in the open. I think this kind of dialogue will help keep us honest on BST. Raider now has to explain this to all of us, not just you.

It's a shame that he would even jepordize his reputation on this board by not shipping the products he has sold. I hope your deal comes through for you.

Well, it's been a while now since I last posted on this subject, so I thought I might as well fill you in with the latest developments. To cut a long story short, here's what happened:

Last Friday, I finally got a tracking number from Raider, which was supposedly assigned to the shipment with my stuff. So I went to the USPS "Track & Confirm" page and ran the said number through their website.

However, I only got a message stating that there was absolutely no record whatsoever of any such item.

So, again, I contacted Raider informing him of this, and he told me that USPS had ruled that his package couldn't be shipped to Spain due to size restrictions, and offered to issue a full refund for the price of the items I bought from him on our second transaction, which he did as soon as I agreed.

Right now, the PayPal dispute regarding the second transaction is settled (the actual refund is still pending, though) and the claim regarding the fisrt transaction is still being processed, which is a real shame (and a pain in the ass too), as I'd already planned on making further deals with Raider if this one finally went through. Keeping my fingers crossed wasn't enough, apparently!

This has been a complete waste of time. My first BST deal and look what I got: now, I'm out of my money (for the time being, at least) and without any XD whatsoever.

(Incidentally, the largest package I've received through USPS has been a BBI Elite Force box that originally contained two 1:18 scale F-18s, so either Raider's package was extremely large indeed or there are different size restrictions in place throughout the continental US.)

USPS size restrictions are 108 inches overall, lenght plus girth. Which is for example a package 4 feet long and 15 inches on each side (girth is distance around the package so 15x4 and 48 is 108 inches). I don't know what the size restrictions are in spain but 2 BBI F-18's is a pretty big package.

Yup. Actually, the package measures 106 inches according to the seller: "shipping restrictions to Spain are 108, I can actually get an F-18 and an F-16 to fit in one box, total 106, very close."

So this all involved an international transaction? No wonder the trouble and time involved! You all need to keep your britches on and perhaps try ordering in smaller parcels

This saga is going to drag on until forever…

Got an e-mail from PayPal yesterday informing me that the claim for $270 had been settled in my favor, but they had been able to collect only $259,17 from Raiderad6's account.

This is the third time in as many months that I've ordered 1:18 stuff online only to have the seller admit they FORGOT to ship my merchandise…

You know, it'd be kinda neat if they could fulfill their end of the deal!
