How are those FOV planes? I've seen them at TRU and I've always wanted to picke one up.

They have their good and bad points. The use of diecast metal in the construction, moving control surfaces, and opening engines on the FOV 1:32 planes are nice. The overuse of large rivets, exposed screws on the underside and funky-looking ordinance greatly detract from them. I think the Spitfire is the best of the bunch, followed by the P-51. Both have a ways to go to achieve perfection, however.

For whatever reason, FOV seemed to drop the ball on their 1:32 aircraft... Their 1:32 tanks are the best on the market, their 1:72 armor and aircraft are excellent, and their new 1:18 figures and tanks give the competition a run for the money. So it makes one wonder why the 1:32 planes turned out the way they did. The 21c 1:32 planes are some of the best.

Nevertheless, a few boardmembers have had good things to say about the new FOV 1:32 P-39, however!

I've wondered myself why with such great armor FOV didn't make aircraft to the same standards. Still as you say the Spit is the better of the two and for an affordable 1:32 Spitfire it's not that bad. The new P-39 is nice and it looks like they listened to customers complaints. However, the examples I have seen have many QC issues, the model itself is super but FOV/Unimax needs to improve their QC process.

Ah, glad to see it go to another member of the funny farm here! Thanks for buying it!

I wrapped it up real good with cardboard built up to protect the prop, antenna and the rear view mirror thing on the windshield. Also some rubber bands to keep the flying surfaces steady. I then wrapped the whole thing with bubble wrap and used a ton of plastic bags for cushion and fill.

Let me know when it arrives! BTW, the canopy is in the parts bag, I didn't want it to pop off.
