There is a Panzer IV (S1) on E-bay for $302.00

. I didn't think I would see these things even come close to fetching that kind of price!

I took a look at the bidders on this auction and there are only 2 parties bidding it up.

it's always fetched pretty big money but that's incredible. I don't know why you wouldn't just buy one of the r/c ones, which are essentially the same and save $260+.
Seems like a pattern with much of the slightly older 1/18 items these days; planes and armour alike. Big bucks.
This happened a few years ago too with the early XD items and then the bottom fell out for a while and you couldn't get 1/4 what they had been selling for. Seems like it's heated up again.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

I bid on it until it just got crazy.
Those of us that have huge stashes of these things might have to consider letting a few go. Being mainly an armor guy, I have a ton of the Panzer IVs in every flavor. I can't really tell you why I need any more. I guess you would have to classify me as someone who hordes things.

I tried to look up completed auctions and noticed that there isn't a link for it anymore. Did EBAY move the link or did they remove it. Does anyone know?

Hey,
Thought I'ld waite till Christmas to let this go, but for $300 for the one that just sold, well thought I'ld see if someone wanted an early Christmas Gift!
I've got several items I'll be putting on e-Bay here at the middle of Oct. all good stuff, mostly new in the box, most of it from several years back as well as from last year!!!!So keep your eyes open!
Thanks!

Totally not worth $300+, but then nice to know that's what people would pay for mine
I wonder how good of shape the tank is actually in? The S1 Panzer IVs were notorious for having broken parts. When I picked mine up at Hobbytown, I only found one decent version out of the four they had for sale. I'd hate to be the bidder who just forked over a bunch of cash only to have the tank arrive with a broken gun barrel

3 Panther tanks on E-bay, each one is hovering around the $200.00 mark.
