I often see some amazing Build-a-rama stuff on the internet but I've always been a lil hesitant about buying it. Now that I'm starting to finish my contest entry I'm thinking about spending the money to get some. Anyone bought build-a-rama here? I you have, what is the scale like when you compare it to 21st Cnetury stuff. Is it too big????

Thanks!

pricey but some of it is nice.

on a side note, I might buy some camo netting from them, for a Sdkfz.250 I am working on rebuilding.

Build-a-Rama has one of the best selections of diorama items available in the three most popular scales (1:18, 1:32, & 1:72) that I know of, maybe not the cheapest, but to a certain extent I think you get what you pay for, and in that respect BAR is as good as anything else on that is currently on the market at the present time. As for scale, BAR 1:32 stuff is specifically designed to work for 1:32 (54mm) or 60mm, and I've not heard any specific complaints that they are out of scale compared to 21st or FOV or any other 32X stuff on the market. If you are patient and persistent you can find good deals for BAR items on ebay, I once brought home a HUGE lot of BAR ruined buildings and other dio items with a retail value well in excess of $300 for just $125 delivered, so it is possible to find some great values if you know where to look.

I agree that they are a fairly good value for the money especially if you consider the work involved in making them yourself.
