Atomic Cannon on E-bay.

I just picked up an atomic cannon (1/32nd scale) on E-bay. Do any of you guys have one of these? It's about 3 feet long!

i've seen both the toy and the model kit versions. Both are pretty neat.

Here is a pic of the one my dad built back in the 50's and used to have it on his desk at HQ. He was in charge of dispatching the Atomic Cannons in Germany in 1957 and has told me many stories about the problems they had transporting the guns through the narrow roads in Germany! Taking out parts of corner buildings, bicycles, cars, etc. These big guns were not very popular with the German population.
Yes, that's a young "Zonetoys" and no I was not allowed to touch! He also had some NIKE missle models too.

WOW, very cool. Looks like it has a special "dragon wagon" type transporter as well.
...brings back Atomic Age memories...

Great pic, Zonetoys! (could have been a comic book ad for Renwal models)...there doesn't seem to be a tremendous amount of interest in '50s stuff, but I would be thrilled & then some to see some releases of aircraft, armor, & even missiles from the Korean era, even if they didn't necessarily see combat...so if some manufacturer is kind enough to release some of these in 1/32 scale, no whining, please, there are some people out there who would love to have these forgotten gems...

Lucky man! I wish they would re-release the History Makers kit from the 80's. I really like the tractors, especially the front unit. I've always been interested in the atomic tests carried out in the Pacific and Nevada. I have quite a bit of video, I even have a 15" color framed print on my wall of the famous picture taken during Shot Grable showing the cannon itself and the rising fireball. Here is the shot:
