What Dogfight Pack Will We See Next?

Post by Coreyeagle48 » Tue Sep 04, 2007 2:01 pm

Greetings,

What dogfight pack would you expect to see now that the Macchi and Stuka have been paired together in 32X. That pack was terrific! I really hope we see another good one like that one. Here are some of the choices I think could be possible. Feel free to add your own.

I personally would love to see a Russian P-40 against a 109 from a satellite country such as Bulgaria or Romania.

I think it would be very likely to get a P-51B/C with a Bf-109F/G. Both of those have not yet appeared in a Dogfight pack yet, and 21c couldn't go wrong with two ETO schemes.

A Russian P-40 and a Bf-109F/G would be cool as well.

I think we are most likely to see the P-51B/C and the ME-109 next, but that does not mean it is what I desire!

I would love to see the Russian P-40 and Baltic ME-109 or even yet some newer planes but 21C seems to recycle what they have in these battle packs. Our only hope is with the Italian planes they may be willing to go out on a limb.

All I can say is bring on a Typhoon, P-38, and sometimes in my wildest fantasies an ME-110 and MIG-3!

Greetings

I did not add this in the post and perhaps should have. I'd actually like to see a Welch and Taylor P-40 pack in the 1/32 scale. That would actually be a nice set to have in the 1/32 scale and I'd buy it.

Or how about a Defense of the Reich pack with a 190 and a 262 or 109.

Interesting what could be done

Good call. Some Reichsverteidigung aircraft would be some interesting additions. I like the Taylor and Welch pack idea as well.

Other ideas

"Blitzkrieg" pack with a Stuka and Bf-109E
Hartmann's Bf-109G vs. a Yak or a Sturmovik
Birdcage Corsair vs. A6M2N "Rufe"
Canadian ace George Beaurling's Spitfire vs. C.202 "Folgore"
Ki-84 "Hayate" and a Ki-61 "Hein"

Greetings:

I thought it was very interesting to see two Italian planes in a battle pack like that. I thought the schemes were very unique choices as well (the replaced wing plane is just awesome). Whoever thought those two up together did their homework and really picked two very interesting airplanes to put together.

I really would have thought that 21st would have put the P-40 with the Zero, as that makes kind of more sense than a Zero with a Corsair. Still, a Pearl Harbor P-40 twin pack makes a whole lot of sense, given they did it seperately in 1/18 scale. I really thought they should have offered a 1/18 twin pack for those planes as I'd like to buy them, but worry I will find one and not the other.

I just like the idea of Dogfight packs, two planes in a pack and so far the schemes (with the exception of the repeat Corsair) have been terrific.

Getting the new Dogfight pack from my good buddy really made my day....LOL
