Finally! What part of CA did you find that in? I assume Toys R Us? And do you have any spare antennas and pitot tubes in your attic (and maybe some teardrop tanks)?

Great news and pix.....Don Gentile was one of my all time favorite US Aces......since I have a 1/48 Tamiya kit which I will probably NEVER build, this 1/32 will be the best of both worlds!! This is a MUST HAVE!

I think we may just have a new contender for the BEST 1/32 plane to date..

That's got to be one of the best of the 32x P-51s, along with the S1 "Bald Eagle!"
...and in California, too! Now if only my local TRUs would hurry up with their resets. I think the same 21c stuff they've had for weeks now is just going to sit there for the time being...

They had 4 of them along with 3 Bullfrog P-51's at the Maplewood TRU. Saw then today and will be getting one this weekend. It will look good sitting next to my 1/18th Ridge Runner.

Found the "Sahngri La" P-51s at the Fresno, Ca TRU today. It is indeed a very nice scheme - one of the better ones for the 32x P-51, IMHO. Then again, all 5 of the schemes so far have been good ones

Found this P-51 at the TRU in North Dallas- Lewisville this past weekend. Great looking plane!

I finally picked up my Shangri La and have a question: should the drop tank hard points be silver, or grey like the underside? Or maybe even parts of them should be grey? Looking at the details, it seems like they painted them wrong...
Oh, I also wish they painted the wheel hubs red, they would have looked nice. I hope I can find a paint to match the nose...

I picked up this bird last week. I must say I am super happy with it. I haven't had a B model Mustang since my old Monogram kit days. The B model has beautiful lines, maybe even more so than the bubble-top. The plane has flawless fit and paintjob except for a spot of red on the wing which was easily fixed. My only real beef is lack on the dorsal antenna (I fixed that one myself though) and the tiny, wobbly pizza-cutter wheels.
Anyhow it looks great next to my FOV blue nose P-51D. If only the FOV version had the flush rivets like the 21st Mustang and covers for the damn screws holes on the underside, and the 21st Mustang had fatter tires like the FOV P-51, they would both be perfect! :
