hello all, im finding it hard to find websites that sell 1:72nd scale buildings and infantry (pre-painted) id appreciate all the help i can get yall, thanks in advance

Target and TRU carry 1:72 figure packs along with WWII and modern vehicles. If you have those stores out there that is. Otherwise, Bad Cats Aviation sells them. Here is a link to their 1:72 figure page. Be sure to check out the vehicles as well. They are located in Cali so delivery might be a bit cheaper for you.

As far as buildings, some packs come with pieces of blown up walls and such but I haven't seen any whole buildings. But I just got into 1:72 a few months ago.

Conflix has a range of prepainted 1/72 buildings, though you will have to do a Google search on who sells them.

thank you all ... im just getting into the 1:72 scale stuff im an avid 1:32 scale guy ... im trying to decide between the two ... im a big army kinda guy so when i collect i go for it all and i like to build diorama's in large scale ... im trying to figure out what scale will be best for me

I collect both and the best part is that even if you don't have a ton of room you can have plenty of each scale.

again thank you ... does anyone have an idea of where a guy can get 1:72 infantry that are pre painted? i know FOV has a VERY SMALL selection and im not about to get 20 of the same sets, ha, god knows i would ... but armor isn't hard to find ... just infantry .... and are there any sites dedicated to diorama's of 1:72 and final question, what scale trains go with the scale? ... thanks in advance

There aren't alot of prepainted 1:72 infantry other than the Forces of Valor, which aren't that great in my opinion.

If you're possibly interested in having some plastic and metal figures painted, I could give you the names of some very talented painters that do wonders with 1/72 figures.

Are you looking for modern?

If so, the figures from the Battlefield:Evolution sets are 1/72. I've used a set of calipers on them, comparing them to both the FOV figures and Airfix unpainted figures.

Yep, the Conflix stuff is really great for the 1:72 collector, I highly recommend it, very sturdy construction (resin?) and beautifully painted and weathered, and I see no reason why you could not add your own weathering/detailing touches to them if you wanted to. You can sometimes find sweet deals on the Conflix stuff on ebay, so if you're interested in their line I would suggest keeping an eye out there, I once got both the "Ruined Villa" and the "Ruined House" NIB for about $45 total including delivery on ebay, so there are some deals to be had if you are patient and persistent. I only wish Conflix would expand their line with some new and different pieces.

None that I'm aware of, at least none of the common model train scales. HO scale is 1:87, and while some HO scale structures will blend in reasonably well with 1:72, the HO scale rolling stock, vehicles, and figures are just too small to work well with 1:72 in my opinion.

I will be sure to keep an eye out. I really like the gun emplacement and other trench-like pieces.

Not sure what you mean by "in bulk", but the MTS site I mentioned previously probably has the most extensive variety of 1:72 scale stuff that I've ever seen in one place. My only complaint about MTS is that their ordering system is rather tedious and outdated, they really ought to consider upgrading to a shopping cart style or some other more efficient ordering interface in my opinion. Another place you should look at is http://www.goodstufftogo.net while their selection is not nearly as extensive as MTS, they have a nice selection, great prices, and ordering from them is a breeze. The closest train scale to 1/72 is S scale, which is popular in the UK.
