Strange, but true...

Post by der Vogelfänger » Wed Aug 08, 2007 2:23 pm

Could you guys please let me know if the 1/32 FOV Kübelwagen is worth the price and effort to get? This is a strange question, as all of you know that I am a "airplane only" member, BUT everyone has to peek over the fence on occasion 8)  ...

Thanks for any guidance....man, do I like Kübel's!

I would say its worth it :D Then again, don't I always say that? It is a neat little piece, and is perhaps better detailed than the 1:18 Kubelwagen made by 21c. I have the gray version of the FOV Kubel, but many retailers have the cammo Normandy version. $22 + shipping is a reasonable price for it.

As for features (on mine) the driver's and front passenger doors open, the engine opens, front wheels turn, and it can be displayed with either the roof up or down. Various accessories can also be stowed on and in it. The set should come with a driver and commander figure.

Here's a couple links to some FOV Kubels still for sale:

As far as the smaller FOV vehicles go, you may also want to pick up the Type 166 Schwimmwagen, the Zundapp Motorbike, Willys Jeep, and US Amphibion GPA (get the Enthusiast versions on all as the Action grade vehicles kind of stink in terms of coloration  )

I agree with T-man. It is nicely detailed and worth the money.

Ditto what Tman said. I have both the gray and camo versions and they are a must have for 1:32 armor/vehicle collections IMO. I would also highly recommend the Schwimmer, Zundapp, and Jeep, all are great little pieces that will make nice additions to your collection. You really can't go wrong with any of the above.
