As mentioned in the other post, this is to establish a majority rule for the use of photoshopping.

If you vote, please leave a quick note/reply to say you are "IN" the contest, so we can also establish entry numbers.

Personally, I think photoshopping would give people an unfair advantage, though I would allow black & white effects. Just no digitally recreated backgrounds, smoke effects and the like.

I've taken plenty of good diorama photos using only the sepia or color function on my camera, proper lighting and the proper angle. A number of other boardmembers have done the same as well. I bend to the B&W photo effect as it tends to hide the toyishness of the figures and vehicles one is taking a picture of. It is also a very common feature that is found on many cameras or basic photo-editing software. Fewer people would have access to the fancy photoshop software.

The photo/diorama pictured in my signature on this post placed in a 21c contest a couple years ago, and I only used the B&W effect built into my camera, the XD Marines, and the foliage in a flower pot

Photoshopping is fine for a picture, but NOT a contest.. I agree with the Black/white editing, but true photoshopping gives people an unfair advantage..

No. Only exception would be to allow black and white. However, if you want to get really technical, just set your camera to B/W. Photo editing issue resolved.

No. I think there are many like myself who are not quite up to speed on photo-shopping. It might also limit the number of entries.
