"limited editions" for 1/32 ?

hey guys

i finally just picked up my FIRST two 1/32 aircraft. one being a corsair of "S1", and A FW-190 (i think is "S2" but have to check)

i almost picked up two stukas, one with a yellow nose, and one that had all green, dark green camo. but i might go back later today to pick em up.

anyways ALL of them said "limited editions" on the box. to a point everything ever made is "limited" so what kind of numbers are we looking at here, or where could i find more info about them. i'm not much of a person to collect items and turn around for cash..but i made the mistake of not buying some of the larger 1/18 scale aircraft, that i had the chance to but passed up on "yeck..a stuka with an crappy snake...ghuh, no thanks ill pass!"

(whoops!)

are there some that are starting to get harder than others to find?? or is this a "gimmick" since most of these military aircraft/armor, arent made nearly in as many numbers as say transformers, and want to appeal to us impulse buyers?

Well, not to be too cynical but as Mr Seinfeld stated in one of his bits, i think it's limited to the numbers they can sell...seriously though, they must have a set amount to be produced but certainly this amount is not in the low numbers.

I believe the general number at one point was 5000 units. Those boxes were marked with the number:

Newer series of aircraft releases were still marked limited edition but the 5000 number disappeared:

good to know, so for the most part it shouldn't be to hard to collect most or all of them then..
