With their eagerly awaited Wittmann Tiger just weeks away from making landfall, Dragon today sounded a call to arms with their second take on the Elefant. Based on a tank destroyer then serving with the sPzJgAbt 653 somewhere on the eastern front, their newest addition to their burgeoning line of 1:35 scale armor will again boast tracks that sag, an elevating gun, and a striking summer camouflage scheme.

In other news, two more 1:72 scale Draon Armor vehicles also made the cut. The first is a M4A1(76)W Sherman tank operated by the Polish 2nd Armored Rgt., Polish 1st Armored Division then deployed to Holland in late 1944. Also up for consideration is a German Sd. Kfz. 251/7 Ausf.D Pionierpanzerwagen, which reportedly served with the 19. Panzer Division during the Battle for Warsaw in 1944. All three new entrants are slated for a June release.

On the flip side, Dragon has temporarily withdrawn their two Jagdpanthers with zimmerit that had been on the drawing board for the better part of two years. No reason was given for the indefinite postponement, and we're still holding out hope that both models will again be offered at a later date...
