Britains 32X figures...

Just received two sets of 32X plastic figures made by William Britain, and I think these are very nice considering they cost me just $12 a set, for 6 figures in each set of WWII German and American infantry in different poses. Now granted, these are not "museum quality" or anything, but IMO they are quite nice, and they compare pretty well with some of the other Britains metal figures that can cost $60 or more for a set of 3 or 4 figures, and they have nice little metal bases that make it easy to position the figures pretty much wherever you want to without them falling over, and can easily be removed and painted to match the surrounding terrain. I got these from an outfit called Good Stuff To Go, they ship fast and have great prices. A set of British and Jap infantry is also available for the same price of $12 per set, and I plan to get a set of each in the near future.

Yep, they are pre-painted. They are a little hard to find at the website, first go to the "Toy Soldiers" section, click on any of the links in that section, then scroll up....everything is listed alphabetically, then look for "Britains 1:32 Plastic Toy Soldiers", open that link and you are there. The metal ones are listed under "William Britain" near the bottom of that section, it's actually pretty confusing, the website interface is kind of "dated" and cumbersome, it really needs a facelift if you know what I mean. Hope that helps.

I have some of these too and I am also quite pleased with them. Britains has been making these same poses for years, and just keeps adding slight color change variations from time to time. I have managed to accrue several different paint jobs now. Back in the day they used to also make a cool German mortar set and a really nice motorcycle sidecar set. Worth keeping an eye out for these on ebay or at garage sales.
I also have bought stuff from Good Stuff to Go and have always found them to have good prices and quick service.

oh, Britains also has Japanese and British guys in the same series. There is even an Australian set ( a variation on the same poses as the Brits, but with slouch hats.

I remember mine when they had square bases and were made in England. Oh, those were the days....
