Small Scale Military Headquarters

I've been collecting 1:18 for a while and i am thinking of getting into 1:32
but where to start?
any advice on collectable must haves or tips?

Welcome Bird!!! I guess your venture into 1/32 would be determined by what you are interested in, whether it be Aircraft, Armor/vehicles or figures or all of the above????

WATCH YOUR STEP.. I started out with 1/18th AC and armor, completely content- then came 1/32nd AC and armor, felt the queasiness coming on- the 1/48th planes are neat, stay away from my walmarts 1/48th armor!!!-
the 1/144 planes and armor are easy to find space for

Stick with 1/18th or proceed with caution-

It really depends on what you want to collect, as there is a diversity of 1:32 aircraft, armor, and figures out there.

21c has the most armor and aircraft in this scale. They are plentiful and relatively cheap, but look great! Their most recent 1:32 planes are nearly as good as the 1:18 ones. They also have alot of WWII figures (US, British, German, Russians, and Japanese) and "playsets" consisting of ruined buildings and emplacements.

FOV (Forces of Valor) makes some of the best 1:32 tanks in their "Enthusiast Grade" series. They have many of the same WWII tanks that 21c has, plus a bunch of modern ones. FOV tanks usually have better detailing, weathering, and come with a bunch of accessories. They are heavily diecast. FOV also makes 1:32 diecast aircraft, but the detail on the plastic 21c planes is better. FOV has alot of WWII and Modern figures which are OK, and they also have accessory sets which are great for diorama building. FOV also makes a "Historical Legends" line featuring Romans, knights, Vikings, Pirates, and US Civil War figures in 1:32.

Corgi and GMP make premium-quality diecast aircraft that are the best on the market. They have opening engines and gun bays, movable surfaces, opening cockpits, retractable landing gear, etc. Those, however, cost a pretty penny.

If I were you, I'd start out with 21c or FOV armor and the 21c aircraft. You won't be disappointed

hmmm based on what you've said I prolly will start with one or two playsets and then get some choice armor pieces that will prolly never make their way into 1:18.

US Hellcat & Stuart

All great pieces for the price and all a long shot in 1:18...

Did someone say "armor"....hey, doesn't the A-10 have lots of ARMOR??!! Even in 1/32 a A-10 would be great; after all, there are lots of tanks for the Warthog to "play" with and "root out" !

If your into planes then get a 1/32nd Corsair or the P-47 Thunderbolt. Those are 2 1/32nd standouts in my book.

As space at home is a concern the 1:32 scale stuff might be better
I only wish they made posable figures too
