Does anyone have the FOV 1/32 Tiger I, Eastern Front? I can get this one for about $40.00. I have had difficulty finding this one, but did find it. I have ordered the Dragon 1/35 Tiger I, but have always liked the look of the FOV Tiger I. Any opinions?

I don't have the Dragon Tiger, but I do have an FOV one. The FOV Tiger is nice, with the detailed zimmermitt and is quite hefty. The commander and loader's hatches open, as do the engine and radiator grilles. The drivers hatches do not open, but the treads roll. The Dragon Tiger - I've seen one in person once at my local Hobbytown USA store - has much crisper detail and more opening hatches. I'm not sure about an opening engine, however. The gun barrel also recoils on the Dragon Tiger. The treads do not move, however. Hopefully this helps a little!

I'm waiting on Dragon's Elefant to ship, as my first Die_Cast purchase..always been a fan of the Porsche Designs..even if flawed or misused.

I have the first FoV Tiger. I don't recall if it was the D-Day or Eastern front but since the only difference is the paint job it doesn't matter. The engine compartment hastch as well as the two screens on each side of it come up to show the engine and what I presume are gas tanks(?). The shovel on the flat above the glacis and the tow cables are the only pieces that are freely attached as I recall. The hull mg does not traverse. The only hatch (apart from the engine and screens) that opens is the commander's. The well in the commander's hatch isn't really deep enough. The tracks on the turret sides have held on now for four or five years, a nice plus for durability there. The road wheels are the full battle set and fill the tracks quite nicely. They revolve but do so on a single axles, so they have to roll together and this leads them to slide off when crossing the living room carpet. One of mine had two towing cables for the left (or right, I can't remember) side so one had to be modified. I have three of these.
The detail is excellent. The zimmeritt a nice touch. The weight is good and it really feels sturdy. From playing with it I can say that it is, in fact, very sturdy. Except for those darn treads which keep coming off.
If the 1/32nd Eastern Front Tiger I is just a re-paint...

of the 1/32nd "action grade" Normandy-scheme Tiger I that we can get at Target, then to the purist, it will not be as accurate a Tiger I as are the Dragon versions available. Nontheless it is still a nice vehicle and worth having, especially for the price.
The "Target Tiger" has the early style wheels seen on an Early or Mid prod Tiger, but with turret details of a Mid to Late Tiger, so my bet is that the FOV "Target Tiger" is properly supposed to be a Mid-prod version. (OTOH, the 1/72nd "Target" Tiger I in the Normandy scheme is a Late Tiger, with steel-rimmed wheels.)
It also has parts on the engine deck that should only be seen on a Tiger I that carried Feifel engine filters - which disappeared on Mid Tigers.
And, the tracks are not correct for any Tiger - a comprimise to the Lil Johhnys that push them around the rug.
All just little nits to pick over an otherwise nice item that I am happy to show off in the display case.
