New 1/32 Figures @ WM -Russian, Japanese, Pak-40 w/Crew

Post by Razor17019 » Fri Feb 16, 2007 10:01 am

I collect the 1/18 21st Century stuff, so forgive my lack of knowledge on this.
I just saw in my local WM they had carded packs of Russian soldiers, Japanese soldiers and Pak-40 w/ crew. I just wondered if these were brand new??

If so, are they hard to find like some of the 1/18 D-Day soldiers??

The boxed versions are from last year and were fairly common. You can still find the pak around pretty easily. I haven't seen these on hanging cards, though. Sounds like a new packaging style which I think we saw some pics of at Toyfair. Are the Russians by themselves or are their Germans on the same card? There was a package at Toyfair combining both.

Each set of soldiers is on a card by themselves.
- Russians 6 or 9 to a card
- Japanese 6 or 9 to a card
- German Pak-40 with 3 crew and section of brick road/ruins to place the Pak-40 in with the crew.

Sounds like Wal Mart finally got the Russian and Japanese figure sets that were out last year, as well as the repackaged Pak-40 with base and crew. These have been sold by the small retailers for many months now, but it seems like a first sighting for Wal Mart 8)

I saw them last night. I know I'd seen them being talked about here, but didn't realize that they were new to Walmart til just now. Pretty neat.

I found them today at the Coldwater, and Charlotte walmarts. Would've bought them had I not been looking for other things.

The back of the Japanese card shows a set of US Marines and on the back of the Rusians is a set of British Paras.

I bought my Russians and Japanese in boxes at a Walmart in Iowa last year. Didn't think they were that uncommon.

I found both sets at a WM in a small town in the middle of nowhere here in Texas for the first time yesterday.
