Welcome!
Sorry 'bout your Grant. Mine seemed pretty much ok. Uneven seems in the armor eh? Sounds pretty accurate to me

Sorry your Grant was in bad shape. I'll agree its not the best of the FOV tanks, having only one hatch that opens, but it does look neat. I have the enthusiast S1 "Monty" version with the tan and green cammo. I like it because it is Gen. Montgomry's tank and because I have seen the actual tank at the Imperial War Museum in London, albeit in a different paintscheme.

I have a S1 Grant as well. My tank lacks the flaws yours displayed. We've all discovered that an occasional scruffy example leaks through QC. I LIKE the fact that only one hatch opens. Most hatches out there open on tupperware box interiors. If you want to put some detail inside it's ok, this is not usually the case. I liked the guy that came with my Grant. Only problem was he didn't fit in the turret hatch! He sits in MY very old Matilda. His posture looks exactly like what he's doing, resting his butt on the hatch rim while supporting his upperbody on the hatches. He's nice and dark as he should be opperating in NA. WAAAIIITTTEEE.... is this guy suppossed to be Monty? He does look a little like him....

aahhh...I hope not. Wait...is he sipping tea? Kidding. Not big fan of his though.
I wonder if the hull if the Lee will be the exact same...or if it will have been a little more refinded. Better in the QC area.

Seen the "Action grade"?? Lee and Grant at Target

In these grades, the only issue I could easily see with either was the need for some dusting and a major dullcoat. Both included some bits of added parts, but not as much as the hobbyshop "enthusiast" versions.

I was tempted to buy this in London. I passed.
