Does anyone know the significance of the red 13 markings on the Me-262?

Urban Drew was the pilot of Detriot Miss and is credited with being the first pilot to shoot down an Me-262 while simultaneously becoming the first to shoot down 2 jets in a single mission. I have not be able to find any info regarding the markings of either of the Me-262's he shot down. All I know is that they were from JG 7. Could the red 13 be correct for one of these aircraft?

Very nice links, bd99, thank you! The JV44 Würger-Staffel is one of my favorites-in fact my computer mouse pad is the JV44 symbol/badge. I really like the Papagai Staffel Red/White undersurface used on the Fw-190D's....very colorful and eyecatching-of coarse, that is what they wanted for ID purposes.
