Found the UK M3 Grant (tan), US M3 Lee (Africa scheme with yellow stripe around turret with yellow star), and a German Jagdpanther at Target today. Grant/Lee were 19.99 and the JP was 24.99. Go get 'em!

Did you say a Lee? I didn't think they had a Lee, only the two Grants. If so this is great news.

It's a Lee...proper turret and all!

Sorry, no pic capability. But I have the US Lee tank out of the box. I have to say, I'm disappointed. The paint is nice (absolutely no weathering though), but with the exception of the main hull, everything is plastic--even the tracks! Comes with a nice tank commander, but no other terrain pieces or accessories. If this is an indication of what's to come from Action grade items from FOV, I think they'll lose support. The tank's nickname is "Kentucky"--isn't that the nickname of the New Ray Lee??? (I know what some of you may be thinking, but this is marked Unimax on the bottom of the hull). The UK Grant is the same. Fortunately, the German Jagdpanther is of the previous high quality (i.e., some weathering, accessories, and rubber treads).

Right before Christmas I saw a Pnzr IVD and the Kannonwagen at Target. They both appeared to be nicely weathered and the Pnzr IVD had the red/white checkpoint gate.
They also had some 1/72 airplaines - ME-262, P-40B or C, and a Zero that looks like the ones used at Pearl Harbor. Same goes for the P-40. The P-40 looked really nice and I almost picked it up but the wife mentioned going to Target and I didn't want to have a beat kickin' from Santa.

are you sure it isn't a new ray tank that somebody put in an FOV box and returned to Target?

It's not a New Ray tank...I have that one too. It's clearly stamped Unimax on the bottom of the hull, as I indicated in my previous post.

I found the new M3 Grants & Lees at a Fresno, Ca. Target as well. I wasn't all that impressed with them - the S1 FOV Grant ("Monty") from last year looks the best in my opinion. Both the Target tanks have a figure, but no accessories, which is a bummer even for an action-grade tank. The US M3 Lee, however, is deffinitely a Lee, with the correct turret

My recon patrol(wife) says she saw a diecast Corsair, F4U, at TRU. She seems to think that it was FOV. Did they do a Corsair?

Yes....a real small one. 1:72 I think. 4 or so different ones.
I'll have to check on the Lee. Anyone care to E-mail the FoV rep? Cindy? Candy? I forget. Make sure that bad boy is com'n out in the higher grade.

Hmm. She was sure it was 1:32 but I would have to check it out for myself. Thanks anyway...

I hope she is wrong....if not I'll have to go to Ikea and get a 5th glass cabinet to store it. My "spare" room is soo crowded that I had to start finishing my basement. The things we do to feed our 1:32 crack addiction.
I really don't know how 1:18ers do it.

Picked up the Kannonwagen, very nice indeed. Saw the Lee but was not very impressed. It looked to "toyish" for my taste. Still haven't seen the panzer in my AO.

Nevermind the picture. I was at a Target today and they had the FOV M3A1 Halftrack in an Action series grade box. Not the Multiple Gun Carriage, but the Halftrack. No weathering, but still nice. On the back were pictures of the new stuff which included not only the Lee, but also a brand new Stuart! I can't wait for that! Hard to tell much about the Lee or the Stuart from the small pictures, but I am guessing they will be showing up in this AO pretty soon.

Found the FOV Panzer IV, both the short barrel Ausf. F (Eastern Front) and the long barrel Ausf. G w/ the side armor and winter weathering(Kowel). I seen these before in the "ENTHUSIAST EDITION" lines for almost twice as much!!!, but never at Target. Had to have both

Is the turret and gun metal?

Well they had the Grant at Target in Columbia MD. I checked the back and:
It showed the Lee like everyone was talking about. OD Green with the Yellow Strip and Star on the turrent. Correct turrent too it looks like.
What looked like an Action grade Sherman (Italy) with a different camo.
And best yet... an M5A1 Stuart. OD Green. I'm guessing Normandy era due to the fact it had a Cullins devive mounted in front. Very nice eh?
It was, I assume, an Action grade....but I would imagine a real one to be around soon enough.
Looking to be a good year for us....

A couple of years ago Target had a number of FOV models that were, I believe, exclusive to them. They included the AAV-7, the LAV-25, the MLRS and the Paladin SPG. Also a Humvee in KFOR markings mounting either a .50 cal or grenade launcher, rather than a TOW and a M901. Eventually most of them appeared in the standard FOV range with the exception of the Humvee and M901. I live in the UK and will certainly look out for the Lee on Ebay but the Stuart sounds very interesting - I wonder how it will compare with the 21st Century model?

I bought the Lee and the Grant in Moline. Nice pieces, and i too was happily surprised to see the Stuart on back with the big yellow normandy markings.
Back in AZ I've seen lots of winter Stummels and Normandy Pz IVDs.

Hit a local Target after work today. I've been watching two or three near me, waiting for the Lee. Most are still too stocked with the mid size product (M113's mostly) for me to expect them to receive much. However, the one I hit this afternoon was not and I had been waiting for them to restock. Alas! Too late! They had two new halftracks, and a Grant, but the Lee was already gone. I want that sucker!
