I can't wait to see what the TBM Avenger looks like. The Dauntless and Stuka are awesome models, and the TBM should be even cooler!

waiting for Shermans...

As a dedicated "Shermanoholic" I am really looking forward to seeing the new M4A3s. Hopefully they will come out better than the recent Hobby Boss 1/48th model Shermans out of China.

Glad to see the GHWB Avenger being done. I won't buy one (I don't collect WWII), but I imagine it will be popular, and hey, if everyone collected what I collect, it'd be a pretty boring world...

Sorry guys, I dont know Hobby Master. Are these pre-built die cast? or are they models you put together?

Thanks,

Pre-built. Pretty nice. They make a 1/56 line of tanks, and a 1/48 line. This spring they are introducing a 1/72 line. Go to the above-mentioned website for pics.

Below is a response I got from Hawkonevoodoo, concerning HM. Check out his site for more info.

Personally I like the HM tanks in both scales and everyone that has emailed me like them as well. The tracks on the 1/56 are nicer, they are rubber and look more realistic than the 1/48, at least to me they do. This doesn’t mean I hate the 1/48 tracks it just means I think they will look better when Hobby Master changes the tracks on their new 1/48 to take care of this. They should be available starting with the HG109 King Tiger or the HG110 King Tiger. I’m not sure just yet which KT will be the first to have the new tracks, I’ll post this information on my News page http://www.hobbymastercollector.com/hob ... rnews.html on my site as soon as I have it. As far as detail goes I would say they are extremely well done but this all depends on the collector I have no problem with displaying them. Like Dragon the first three Hobby Master 1/48 KTs have too much plastic in order to give us the detail we want, the deck and turret for instance. The next KTs will have an all-metal barrel that should help to give the model the weight we want in our models. The new 1/48 Shermans will be all metal with the improved tracks and from what I have seen will look excellent. I think the pictures on my site will give you a good idea of the degree of detail in each model.

With the improvements the 1/48 will be a perfect choice. The 1/56 is already excellent.

I have a couple of HM Aircraft (Mig 21s) en route.

I will post a completely independent review once they arrive.

Hobby Master has never mentioned any scale other than the other scales they are presently making. 1/72, 1/56, 148.
