32x German SDKFZ.4 Halftrack Found

Someone may have posted this find already...if so, I apologize for the wasted space. But I did find the 32x SDKFZ.4 Halftrack in a San Diego Walmart (finally found the Priest as well). Well done with opening doors, a driver and a non-articulared soldier standing statically and holding a KAR98. Painted in dark yellow with brown and green cammo. Good hunting!

I think it's also known as the Maltier? It's a halftack/ truck hybrid.

i just found what you are talking about.

I think it's new. The same seller also has a 'standard german 3 ton truck' which looks new as well. Very cool editions.

hmm......for some reason ebay direct links don't seem to be working any more. Copy and paste the link to your browser address bar.

The link works on the 1:18 page...

Cool finds, I'm surprised I missed them when out and about on Friday and that ebay seller from my area is really starting to annoy me. Nothing like having someone in your area taking all the new goodies and posting them on ebay

However, if I really want the truck, I think there's another Wal Mart in my area that will get them, and its closer to where I live than where that seller does, and I'm sure these will eventually wind up at the small retailers

Hello Panzer,
Imagine if you didnt have loyalists like Area 21 to at least keep us informed about some of 21st's impending projects? I too sometimes wonder how some manufacturers operate when they continue to keep their customers in the dark. Hobby Master is another company where they tell a devotee about what's going on but fail to update their own site. IXO is the same way too. Their latest update says June.

Is it that much trouble to post news about upcoming projects on a web site? They go through all that trouble to manufacture a new item but then sit on it like its a closely guarded secret for all to wonder about. Makes you wonder why they want to be in business when more and more competitors keep cropping up...

when the FOV sdkfz 7/1 came out, it was 44.95 on the ebay...now I can get it at HobbyUSA for 34.00 plus .06% tax.

The location of where these items are being sold from is the general area where the new Tiger Mig was first spotted in Calf. at the WM. It stands to reason that the WM distribution center there is getting some of the newest items from WM.

I found the new 32x German trucks at a Wal Mart 10mi north of Fresno at the Madera, Ca store :D

The vehicles are well detailed and sport excellent paintschemes. I picked up the truck, but left the halftrack. The truck has opening doors to the cab and the hood opens as well, with folding doors, as would be seen on this type of truck. The cab has the seat, wheel, pedals and shift stick inside. It is also diecast. The underside is very well detailed and even has a spare tire. The canvass top is removable and the bed nicely weathered. The truck comes with optional boards that can be installed in the bed, as well as a folded frame for when the canvass is removed. The tail gate drops. A really nice touch are the two trailer-hitches. One can be used for display purposes and the other is "functional" with a removable pin. The 32x Pak-40 looks good being towed by this truck! The driver figures has movable arms and head, while the standing soldier has a movable head.

While I fear these could be shelfwarmers, the trucks are nonetheless surprisingly detailed and would make excellent choices for upcoming 1:18 vehicles!

Oh! I thought that was capitalism? "Trade of goods and services, for profit!"

i don't think the trucks will be shelf warmers at all. Many people will buy mutltiples to make little convoys with.

Agreed. Anyone know if they come with tow hooks so they can transport the Pak 40 or 88mm Flak guns? I can see them coming out with a separate Iron Horse Dual Pack containing a truck and a towed artillery piece in multiple schemes, particularly DAK.
