I've been watching that auction too. I think the prices will go down over time. They always seem to spike right after a show and then go down as more are offered for sale on Ebay.

DRAGON FIREFLY

I attended this event last weekend. The Dragon stall wasn't the most efficently organised as I think they somewhat underestimated the demand. As they only accepted cash I was rather limited as to what I bought - 1 x Firefly and the 1/6 figgure of the tankcrewm who manned it. That cleaned me out of my cash - I'd just got enough left for a cup of tea!

The Dragon stand was incredible - lots of packing crates overflowing with pound notes - I've never seen so much loose cash! As I was leaving the event it was being announced over the Tannoy warning people to be aware as fake currency had turned up in the hall! So someone got their Dragon models cheap!

Everyone was allowed up to six Firefly models so I expect quite alot will be turning up on Ebay in the coming weeks. So my advice would be to sit and wait. It is certainly a lovely model, but definately not worth the price quoted above. There is at least one "regular" Firefly in the works and I am sure that they will be plenty more.

Kay Tank

Hi Greycap,
If everyone was allowed to purchase up to six tanks, then you're right in your assessment that this tank will fall in value fast. Assume at least 100 people purchased multiples, and that means you'll see at least 500 vehicles being auctioned off none-too-soon. More, if you're willing to wait until after the holidays when people dont have as much cash to spend...

The upcoming regular edition Firefly is a different story, however, since it isnt a heavily touted vehicle like the Kay offering. It would be like comparing the Huber Jagdpanzer IV with a regular edition Jagdpanzer IV. While its the same vehicle, it doesnt carry the same prestige or back story. Certainly, if you want a Firefly, and dont really care who crewed it or its exploits, then by all means wait for the soon-to-be-released regular edition Firefly. Just my two pence on the matter...

Hi All,
Dragon posted several pix of their booth at the Euro Militaire Show held this past weekend. Looks like quite a long line at the Dragon booth with a number of eager shoppers looking to pick up the exclusives. The pix are on the Asian Dragon site and can be viewed by clicking the Dragon Euro Expo banner at the bottom right side of their home page.

It would appear the person who won that auction screwed himself. looks like the going rate has settled around $50-$70

Yes, they have gone down quite a bit as I expected. I got mine for $50 and there was only one other bidder.
