Here is a shot of a 1:32 scale Wildcat I recently put together. Not too many working features other than the opening canopy and the pilot figure that can bail out. Something to do battle with the 21st Zeros at least...

I'm betting that this is the Revell-ogram kit?

Originally in the late 60's, recently re-released with Butch O'Hare's markings - is this your version?

You seen this site?

Very cool site. Didn't know so much modelling was going on in 1/32. One guy is even doing a C-47 in 1/32. Now that's a big bird! :-)

It is the recent Revell release as you stated. The kit was on sale and it came with a pretty decent soft cover book about navy fighters. I like the simpler kits with the "21st" style workings. This one only has a turning prop and sliding canopy. I also did a MkII Hawker Hurricane, also from Revell. I finished it in British colors, only to come across some photos of the same plane in Soviet colors. That may be a next project. There is a 1:32 Avenger kit I considered($100+), but I want them a bit more rugged rather than having fine details...
