Got some of the1/144 scale Aircraft
At first I wasn't too keen on these but when I saw them I immeadiately picked them up. I got a Mustang, ME-262, Hellcat and Japanese Hiyate. Now if they can get a few more out I'd be happy. I also bought every piece of 1/144 Armor they had as well. I like the idea of a whole collection that will fit on one tiny shelf.

The price (assuming yours was the same?) was $3.24 here. I was pretty suprised since the armor is marked at $1.99 and typically clearances for $1.00.
I couldn't see spending $14 on four little planes.
Now don't get me wrong, they are cool and I would have put them in my bucket otherwise.
The other challenge I had was that the Maisto planes are made of diecast and though they lack some details, are only $1.97
Maybe this WM had the price wrong?

Hey guys are the landing gears removable? I realize their tiny but I was thinking these could be used to swoosh around and dogfight...and we all know how weird it looks doing that with gear down,,,,
Shin's wishlist for 1/18 and 1/32 with retractable landing gear and more:
F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle
F-14 Tomcat, F-8 Crusader, A-4 Skyhawk, F-105 Thunderchief, A-6 Intruder, F-15C, F-15E Strike Eagle
I picked up all four at the lockeed walmart in marietta-
Inspect them carefully, some have bent landing gear, crooked tail sections and separations in fusilage joints; find a new box and go through them patiently.
Of course, I had to get them all, what else is one to do, there is nothing else to buy yet..

I picked up a couple of the Hellcats and Hayates, a 262 and a P-51.. I really like these with the plus that the props spin freely (They don't on the CanDo stuff) and the quality is really good.. I have also noticed that these sell VERY quickly.. Of the 6 Walmarts I hit, most had them, but were close to being sold out with 2 stores sold out completely..
Get'em while you can!!!!

I was lucky when I came across them. They had just been put out and weren't even in the computer system (which made checking out alot of fun
) I had my pick of the litter and noticed the aforementioned flaws on some of the planes. In the assortment I found, the Hellcats and KI-84s were generally in the best shape, with the P-51s and ME-262s varying. All in all, the new planes look very sharp!

1/144
Greetings,
These planes remind me somewhat of my childhood days collecting the Micro Machines. With those, I think you got 5 for about $5 or something like that. Then later on the Micros got a little bigger and you only got three of them, or four, or something like that.
They are neat little planes but I will not be buying these. They are very nice and are well detailed for being so small, but I just like the 1/32 machines and have a pretty full collection of things already. Plus my big guys take up a lot of room and these little guys would get lost on my big shelves. Perhaps they would be good for student prizes, but then again, they are war toys, don't know about that.
I think my favorite is the KI-84, very neat looking plane. I've never seen a model of one before either. Good stuff, go for them guys.
Regards
Corey

These planes came out in NNJ recently. I picked up a set and found them to be quite nice. The remind me of the old Bachmann Mini Planes I used to have in the early 1970s`. The interesting thing is that the Bachmann planes usually had working landing gear on most planes and bomb bay doors on some planes. The paint work on the 21st planes is definitly state of the art though...

Got Two
Picked up a Hayate and Hellcat yesterday, I think these little guys are pretty cool and not a bad deal for the money. I also noticed these things are flying off the shelves if you'll pardon the bad pun. Unfortunately, their armor counter parts look like they have been collecting dust on the shelves for a while.
